As Frost was my second frame in the game (and Frost Prime my fourth), one of the most annoying thing was that he was simply not fun to play when running non-defense mission: because I'd constantly have to catch up to my teammates and even when I do, my abilities don't really make a big difference in the battlefield. And in missions where we are constantly moving, Snow Globe do little else than become useful for revival.
When you look at other "defense-oriented" frames like Vauban or Nyx: their main source of CC is still incredibly useful outside of defense, and they certainly don't have trouble catching up to their teammates.
Agreed with this. Especially now that cold damage is less effective against many common enemy types, Frost is frustrating to play except for defense oriented missions. When I do play Frost for even Mobile Defense, I'm almost forced to take a fast melee weapon for mobility sake. I can still use Vauban and Nyx for any missions type still though, without any issue.

I can investigate! Are you reporting that the smoke lingers too long or that it is too dense?
Sometimes the ability effects don't disappear (ever) from Sonic Boom, causing it to linger for the rest of the game.

This happens often with laggy games as a client. I've also seen it happen with Nyx's Absorb.

Can electric crawlers and lobbers even harm it with their ranged attacks?

It's because the Corpus ship tileset is not set to accept Mobile Defense missions, so instead it switches to a random mission node.
Edit: The exact line says "3558.398 Sys [Error]: /Lotus/Levels/Proc/Corpus/CorpusShip does not support tag MT_MOBILE_DEFENSE (ignoring)"

Why are components sellable for 1000 CR when you can sell the BP for 3500 CR?

It is one of my favourite secondaries and I've been using it for a while now. I'm modding it with all mods maxed, since I've formaed it to support it, Hornet Strike, Barrel Diffusion, Lethal Torrent, Magnum Force and Convulsion+Heated Charge+Ice Storm+Pistol Pestilence, for various elemental damage.
Wow, interesting. What damage numbers do you tend to hit on that against corpus and grineer mobs?

How are you modding your Twin Gremlins? I've modded mine extensively and found it to be my second favorite secondary (first is Stug) to use.

But Saryn, Loki, and Rhino can move after a short casting animation and continue to use other powers while their ults are still taking affect (Although Loki's is indefinite, Saryn's lasts about as long as Volt's and Rhino's holds enemies in the air).
Volt's new casting animation is fairly short (to me atleast) and I can move around just fine, I've never really found it hindering.
I see what you're saying though, even though it's only a few seconds and would probably only matter against triple digit enemies. At that point though, I'd probably throw down an Electric Shield first and continue to fire my weapon while my Overload is taking full effect.

But other warframes can cast their ult and continue to use other powers. Ember, for example, can cast fireballs while World on Fire is active. Not to mention Volt's inability to melee while his ult is being used despite the fact that he is free to move feels like a bug.
Ember's ulti is also an aura type ability. Banshee, Excalibur, Frost, Loki, Mag, Nyx, Oberon, Saryn and Volt all can't move or use other abilities while casting their ults and during the ult duration. Vauban is the only Warframe that can move while casting his ulti, and it doesn't even deal hefty damage (10 or so per second).

Doesn't that make sense? Most Warframes can't even move and use their abilities simultaneously, they have to stand in place and use it. I feel like Volt's hands are kind of full with casting Overload, his strongest and most taxing ability, so he can't cast anything else during the process.

I've heard it was just around 400k, although I don't know for sure. I'm currently at the uppers 1500s myself.

fire rate, multishot mods, blast damage, and serration make the embolist an up in your face CC machine. PERFECT against infested.
Serration on a pistol is always necessary for awesome damage.

I usually use the Embolist for fast-paced combat where I'm up in enemies's faces often. The damage and damage type is great though for a sidearm. I agree with the range though, it'd be nice to get a Firestorm-type mod for it, but I feel like a base range boost isn't exactly necessary.

Banshee is defense her parts are scattered between the three factions.....I'm sorry I got her back before nova was released so I couldn't help on how to get her now.
I got Banshee before Nova was released as well, and I got every part from defense missions. Endlessly farming was the only way that I get Banshee parts until after I crafted her, which was when I started getting parts from raid and capture missions randomly.
