  1. My two Gallium farm spots, both of which are on the planet Uranus:

    - Ur, Dark Sector Defence.  The %-increase in materal drops plus Nekros' Desecrate is really efficient.

    - Titania, Tyl Regor Assassination.  He's ridiculously easy to kill, heck I even do melee-only runs on him for fun sometimes.

    Good luck with your farming.

  2. Thought I'd hop in a clarify two of your points:

    - "you get account rank (mastery rank) from leveling your frames and weapons".  This only counts for weapons & frames that are leveled to R30.  Be sure to finish leveling all of your equipment if you're looking for a fast Mastery Rank up.

    - "a) on one combined elemental like fire+electricity etc".  Thought it'd be better to list the exact elemental combos:

       - Electricity + Fire = Radiation, effective against heavy grineer targets (Bombards & Napalms.)

       - Cold + Toxin = Viral, effective against the entire grineer faction.

       - Cold + Electricity = Magnetic, effective against Corpus shielding.  An added note: pure toxin damage goes right through Corpus shielding.

       - Electricity + Toxin = Corrosive, effective against heavy Infested targets (Ancient Disrupters/Healers, Boilers & Infested Moas.)

       - Cold + Fire = Blast, effective against heavy Infested targets.

       - Additional hints #1: Radiaton+Viral combo works in the Void vs Corrupted units IF you and your squad mates are running an Aura called Corrosive Projection, which removes all armour when stacked 4 times.

       - Additional hints #2: If not running the above Corrosive Projection, a pure Corrosive build in the Void works perfectly.

As a reference, I have left the Warframe Wiki article on Damage 2.0: Damage 2.0 Warframe Wiki article

  3. In all honesty, the Nikana is a nice weapon whilst leveling to MR8.

My build when I used it:

    - Stance: Tranquil Cleave.  I find it better than Blind Justice on the Nikana.

    - All 4 dual-stat mods.  You can use the flat %-dmg ones if you don't have access to them.

    - Fury

    - Pressure Point

    - Rending Strike.  I didn't have Buzz Kill/Jagged Edge then.

    - Spoiled Strike.

    Happy slashing Tenno.

  4. That tactical alert was rather stupid for us. We thought it lacked difficulty, we still was happy to have a free new sigil. With the release of the eight man raids coming soon. That will be the end game, we are getting ready for that and looking to clear it first.

We do T4 keys when people have a reason and need to run them. We have been active in every event and at this point it is getting very old because of the clans that always use exploits never get punished. I guess the entire Warframe community needs to abuse these bugs every event like they did in the Eyes of Blight then we may see some changes.

That's great to see.  I do hope that, despite what other clans do, you're not the type to fall into the easymode bug abuse category.  If you're answer to that is something to the effect of "of course we wouldn't", would you mind firing an invite in-game?  It's Donutdude in-game also.

  5. Hello there.

    My information:

    - Mastery rank 11

    - Stratos Emblem 8

I am interested in joining, however I have a few questions:

    - Tactical Alerts: are you active in them and did you recently attempt/complete the Tactical Escalation for the Rift Sigil?

    - Events, e.g. Eyes of Blight: are you active in them?

    - End-game content: I'm considering running a lot of tier IV-based content and Derelicts.  Are you active in them?

That will be all for now.  I look forward to reading your response.

    Regards,

  6. Good morning Tenno.

The graphical performance in Tenno Hubs is atrocious, even with minimum graphics settings.  My rig is as follows:

    AMD Athlon II X4 640 @ 3.2GHZ

    Nvidia GTX 660 @ 2GB

    4GB DDR3 RAM @ 633MHZ

    WinXP 32-bit

Anything that will help?  Being unable to pick up any of Baro Ki'Teer's equipment is really starting to grate on me.  Missed out on Primed Continuity already and only just managed to pick up Primed Flow before crashing out with an "out of video memory" error.

  7. From what I understand, World on Fire is in the state it is because of how overbearing it was when Ember was vanilla.

I think 1000 per pillar is a little excessive due to the combo with Accelerant.  You could reach some crazy damage numbers when using these two together with your proposed changes.  I do, however, like the idea of it being toggle-based, though again you could argue that running PWR STH at max efficiency would make it overbearing again.

  8. Guys guys guys...

I know all about Mesa's fall off late-game, even with a maximised power strength build.  What I'm talking about is her low-mid tier dominance.  I wasn't even sitting on max power strength and all I had to do was just find a high spot, hit 4 and hold down LMB...

A frame that is perfect for slaughtering Infested, Ember or Ember Prime, has a lot of fall off damage on her World on Fire once the Ancients start hitting the map from around wave 8 onward, whereas Mesa doesn't really have any.  I probably could've comfortably continued to wave 20/25 before noticing any initial fall off.

I simply think a slight adjustment to Peacemaker would bring her in-line.  As for Nova, I have no response aside from almost nobody builds her PWR STH nowadays.  #SpeedNovaForLife

  9. Evening Tenno.

I've just come out of a 15 wave Caracol node with the following battle results:

    ctZBIWR.jpg

Almost all of those 617 kills were from my Peacemaker.  This is completely mad and a tad overpowered.

I love Peacemaker.  It's now on-par favourite with Blade Storm for me.  But don't you think it's worth toning back the numbers or speed at which Mesa acquires targets?  It's a bit much as it is now, especially when running a Power Strength build like the one in my screenshot.

    Regards,

  10. You guys broke it again!

    WUXneVl.jpg

Just finished a 20m Apollodorous Survival node.

EDIT: Did a force shutdown of the warframe.exe, relog and find none of my EXP counted...still @ a R1 Rhino Prime & a R2 Boltor Prime.  Ugh.

  11. Due to DE staff not being in @ the weekend, going to hope the patch tomorrow (assuming there is one) will fix the WinXP "insufficient video memory" issue.  If it doesn't, I'm calling it a day for Warframe.  It's just not worth the time and money I've put into it (yes, I've bought platinum.  Deal with it) when having to deal with issues like this.  I play Guild Wars 2, Aion, League of Legends and World of Tanks and never, ever have I had a problem like this.  When patch day comes for those games, the worst thing that happens is a bit of lag due to the insane load on the servers.  That's it.

Some advice: look at whatever the developers of those games are doing and copy it 'cos aggravating 1 in 20 players out of 6 million (FYI: that's minimum 300,000 players) every time a patch is released is extremely bad for business.  For example IF every one of those 300,000 bought the £3.99 (75 platinum) pack, that's an instant £1,197,000.  That's HUGE!

  12. Well, it appears the issue has been narrowed down to one final thing: video memory.  Client stability seems great now, I can always hit the login screen without any freezing.  However, after entering my details and hitting the login button, I get "Insufficient video memory" error every time.  3 attempts, 3 exact same error.

So, to finally sort this, the way in which VRAM is handled by WinXP needs to be addressed.

  13. I'm pretty sure it's a GeForce 8600 latest drivers. We test with XP SP3 with *no* windows updates (just like the pirates) but we do get the latest drivers from the GPU vendor. We have a dude on Vista with the same vintage card and he's much more stable -- XP has a different driver model which is why we're having so much 'fun' with it. Tomorrow a GeForce 9800 on XP is getting fired up. We don't have a lot of antique AMD cards -- the ones we have are in machines with more modern OSes. I think the IT guys actually ordered some second had junk to test with but it hasn't arrived yet.

You see now that surprises me.

I run my GTX 660 using the 314.22 driver as I just cannot get anything later than that to remain stable on my system (I've tried using 344.48, the latest out, but my system becomes unusable after 10 minutes).  The problem I have is running new cards on old components (still using a M4A78LT-M LE w' an Athlon x4 640 @3Ghz, which might explain the instability).

Interesting.  Thanks for the response, appreciative as always.

EDIT: just re-read the part where a person's Vista build is more stable.  I might quickly throw Warframe onto my Vista laptop tomorrow when I get in from college (also 32bit) and see if I get any change in stability/performance.

  14. Thought I'd throw something out there to DE_Glen.

You say your WinXP test rig is using a 256Mb graphics card?  Which card is it and what drivers are you using for it?
