I believe streamlining the story would be a good alternative, make things like the railjack and the necromech obtainable through the story, so that as a new player I can play the entire story without stopping. This would hook new players into the deep lore of Warframe, it would get them the operator, drifter, necromech and railjack and it would get them acquainted with the gameplay more than enough.
