I don't understand what you want, this is in players helping players, and if you don't want my advice, then why even respond?

Specifically asked for a build for Mag for infested runs, preferably by someone who actually played Mag for awhile (not just Corpus runs). So I can tailor Mag around it.

The tip on the ancient aura was great (as that's something I didn't realize they did itself [as there's little time to see anything beyond a wall of infested]). Tips on weapons was fine.

But people basically chiming in with snitty comments don't help (moreso with retaliatory voting).

I have to play Mag as she's a ranged AoE class, and after a stroke, it's about all I can even see to play (why I specifically use the Amprex). I'm playing Warframe as rehab with my arm/shoulder and vision, as it's a dexterity game, too.

I would not recommend trying to make Mag viable for Infested in her current state. If you want to player her in infested missions, that's your choice.

There's not really a good way for Mag to excel in Infested. However, If you really want to make Mag viable on high level play, you're really going to have to take advantage of bullet attracter. You'll get focused damage from you and your team, as well as maybe nullifying the nasty infested moa Tar and Swarm. The tricky thing is to hit the healers first, otherwise you wont be doing damage to the selected target, as well balance duration with str and efficiency. Otherwise, Pull and Crush spam for CC.

She does v-e-r-y well considering she's a glass cannon AoE class. Just did the Alert and did 58% of the damage (and came late to the public group [last 3 waves], even).

Will test her some more on Pluto/Erris.

Were you farming Focus, or farming cores?

If both, do Triton or similar - Mag wrecks Corpus with extreme prejudice.

Mission was at Hieracon and had to finish Pluto, and farm Focus cores (have plenty of the Cytofrost simply farming on Earth, but rare cores don't drop there).

Mag as a one-trick pony is rather boring, so I venture beyond simply Corpus maps (in fact, I killed less Corpus than any other enemy). Anyway to test a frame's abilities to the full potential is not to play only the easier maps (I can do that solo). I spend most of my kill time hunting the invested, where crowd control is really needed. Level 40 or less infested I simply kill the entire room endlessly. It's actually very fun, as the infested is like zombie kills (coming from another game, where AoE is shunned, I haven't had this much fun in AoEing in years, too!).

It's the level 80+ infested I didn't encounter before, and needing tips on how to mow them down (especially now with Erris maps needs to be finished, and where Chargers can take 1600 shields off in 2 hits!).

What are you doing with Mag fighting Infested?

Farming Focus to max out the mods -- Serration/Heavy Caliber takes TOO many! lol

Ancient aura spam is about as annoying as Vay Hek's voice.  Bring a secondary weapon with high status chance and radiation damage (*cough* Staticor *cough*, pocket Nyx Nukor works too).  It'll turn the auras off, and your damage will spike back up.  Or, bring an Oberon buddy - turns out he's not useless, and despite radiation damage not being great against the Infested, being able to turn those protective auras off makes for an unbelievably huge damage buff.  Alternately, mod your Amprex for radiation and status, and bring a secondary for damage (Kulstar, etc).

Thanks for the tips. Was wondering how/why nothing seemed to be working after level 100. Like trying to shoot through bulletproof glass!

    Leveling the Sonicor now.

  5. Pull with a Frost CC feels counter-productive (breaks the CC). I was "holding" the every coming mobs that wasn't frozen in place with Crush, but the power drain was too much (don't have Primed Flow yet).

Mag does her job well, I'm just trying to find a build that can keep the mobs "in place" better. Would Fracturing Crush do better at high mobs like these? At 273% Power Strength/170% range currently she can do the level 30-40 mobs no problem now. But Pluto Dark Sector mobs, it's truly testing the limits of CC!!!

  6. Still getting Mag Prime maxed in her mods and an Amprex build weapon for additional CC, but was out on Pluto (mission) and the level !! 116 !! mobs -- even with a Frost in the party -- all that prevented an entire wipe was Crush to keep them off the excavators. :/

Is there any Mag and weapon build (that can do more than pea shooting at level 116 infested)? Really like the Amprex for CC, but after level 100 (and even all the red crits) it felt like nothing was going to down those mobs!

In essence, looking for CC builds that will work well with that detestable mob. I'm using the u18 builds for Mag (currently 3 Forma with Arcane Coil helm for range) and Amprex (currently 4 Forma with 125% Crits). Looking for tips and build suggestions (still farming to max out the mods [they're at the last 2 upgrades for Serration/High Caliber and Transient Fortitude; 5 on Blind Rage - waiting to farm enough prime parts to get Primed Flow, as any higher Shield Polarize and Crush sucks all the energy out]).

Really like Mag as a main frame, and investing a heck of a lot time improving her.
