similar thing happened to me with laetum
I was doing the third evolution challenge to get 8 headshots on an angel without reloading. I completed the challenge and then went into operator, since the angel forced me out of my warframe, and when I reloaded the sirocco the challenge came back up but with the progress reset back to zero. This happened a couple of times and when I extracted from the mission and went to Cavalero it let me unlock the fourth and fifth evolutions when i should have only unlocked my third evolution for my laetum.
