I believe one of the pinned posts has info about upnp, you might have to try that since you are running it from 2 systems on the same network.

Been having the issue as well, I've got it on a wired connection and my ping to my friend is 100-150. Checking network analysis in game shows no issues. Is there any other things I can check that might help resolve?

Also having this issue, I can only really join missions in progress with people. Just staying in orbiter and joining a squad usually dc's in less than a minute or on mission start.
