Confirmed on Uranus: Puck and Titania nodes for Nintendo Switch and PC. If you manage to submerge successfully, approaching any surface other than an exit ramp also seems to force terrain to act like normal walking tiles, then rapidly switch the character avatar between walking and archwing modes, locking them in place for the animation. Did not appear to affect the submerged spawn tile on Titania, but did affect all other tiles.
