  1. Let's take it back a bit.

Why a cat helmet for Nova?

Why not cat ears for, say, Loki or Ash? They're stealthy, like cats.

And why does it have to be a cat? Cat would imply my little Kiki, curled up in a ball, using the arm air from the fan of my laptop to sleep on my desk.

Why not a panther, tiger, or lion?

And why should it be a helmet that doesn't actually fit any current Frame?

Why not use it as a starting point for a whole line of "These Tenno tap into the ideas of historical animal warriors, and embody the ferocity of the past."

A stealth-based panther, a strength based bear, and a speed based Wolf?

    Huh? HUH?

Because the poster likes anime cats or whatever nekomimi is, and I am going to guess nova because the poster likes to play nova or something. Honestly, I doubt it will get added. A cat warframe maybe, but not this helmet. There's not enough agreeing on this topic to merit it.

  2. I think that instead of remaking the PvP and/or Obstacle course rooms in the dojo, there will be made another area that is fully centered around competition. Thus it makes it easier for people not in the same clan to face each other, and yet you would still be able to make lobbies to invite just your friends/clanmates into. There could be lobby options Private, Invite Only, Clan Only, or Open.

  3. No. I do not support this. This proposal would slow down gameplay so much. Just scale the size and time of the current ones with level. So when you get to places like Pluto, you are hacking Advancement Test-size puzzles.

Yeah, I guess a minute would slow it down. But 6 seconds to stop a lockdown is just too slow for it to be a gameplay element. So your idea seems like it would work just fine. I still stay where I stand on ciphers though.

  4. Sounds good to me. They can use the light Grineer like the Sawmen, but with a bloated abdomen ready to pop XD

We got a boomer over here!

In seriousness, the runners just seem like they don't belong. They have no connection to any of the current races, and no reason to explode. They just do. This should happen.

  5. I've always thought the hacking in this game needed a major redo. As of right now, my average cipher time is 6 seconds, much too short to be a major annoyance/gameplay distraction. And they're too easy. 260 solved so far, with only 2 fails, and those are only because misclicks realign the ones I had set. And the ciphers are just too cheap to be any real setback in your money. Syllabea has a good idea on the difficulty of the hacking, so I will remove what I originally posted and just ask you to look at his idea instead.

It would take longer, thus leaving you exposed to death, so there is much more of a call for your teammates to watch your back as you unlock it. And ciphers. I just think they either need to be removed, or make them cost somewhere around 25,000 credits each at the lowest. They need to be a rare resource, not something you can buy 5 of after completing the first mission.

That's my thoughts, any feedback is appreciated.

  6. I think instead of making this a helm for nova, we make a whole new warframe based on melee damage (claws) and other abilities you might expect a cat to have. To me, this doesn't fit with nova, but a cat warframe might make a bit more sense with cat-like abilities.

  7. 1. Black marsh

a pool of black goop would appear in a directed area trapping all hostiles in it

    (Got nothing for this)

    2. Owl's eye

shows all enemies within effective range of the player

(Feels like Banshee's Sonar. Might need something else for this spot.)

    3.Wolf's Claw

a glow of energy slightly increases weapon damage slightly though

(Seems a bit close to Rhino's roar ability. Might need something else here too.)

    4.Mist

A powerful AOE finisher causing mist to rise from the ground and damaging surrounding enemies

    (This seems original enough.)

All in all, a good start. Abilities 2 and 3 however seems a bit close to other frame abilities. Maybe a different buff for 3, like armor piercing or stun, and a new ability for 2.

  8. Uh , not much useful as there are ciphers , useless when you're running defenses.

(Hacking in game is waaay too easy, ciphers waaay to cheap, when it gets redone, this might be really useful.)

Could be way too-op with multiple of these.

(Effects most likely wouldn't stack if you had multiple EXEs and it wouldn't increase by too much.)

Isn't this situational for 50 energy , same as  first ability.

(Yeah, situational, I admit, which is why I came up with an alt)

Uh , trinity's more costly energy vamp?

(I don't see how. This has nothing to do with enemies, and it most likely won't regen as much, maybe only 25 to 50 for teammates, and 25 for EXE.)

Again , nyx's more costly chaos?

(Not at all. This was meant to be that you actually take control of the enemy, but I realized that this would require sooooo much work by the devs and it might only be useful on much higher leveled enemies. I'll probably remove it.)

    Pre-buff rhino stomp?

(Not really. This one does no damage and freezes enemies in place completely, it doesn't knock them down or lift them up.)

    Again x2 , rhino roar?

(Rhino roar boosts damage only. This could add armor piercing, elemental effects, stun, puncture, or anything else. It doesn't have to buff plain damage at all.)

Overall , unoriginal , already in game.

(Not really. It just needs polished. You can't expect one person to come up with all of the abilities himself.)

    Gingka2k10

Not only is that rude and very inaccurate, it is original to the design concept, rather than what's in game.  Keep insults out of the forums, they are not at all considered helpful feedback.

Overall, I feel we should have a dedicated buffing Warframe, but just not exactly how you put it...

I would rather see than just simple "Damage Buffs" on your allies, but possibly several or randomized elements?  Or chance of explosive rounds? Where this Warframe would target individual allies and buff their load-out.

Instead of just a defensive buff you could give them a unique shield that is briefly larger than the Warframe for it seems that their suit is in a suit.  This shield could possibly reflect enemy rounds OR change colors and dependent on the color it can block specific damage types.

Since the concept is a Technological Hacker kind of character, I was thinking possibly having him set up a Turret of some kind for his kit, and then having his other skill temporarily turn it into hyper mode, or remote control it in this hyper drive with his Hacking Console (that he might have for this?..).

*Edit** To add on to the turret idea, he could transform his sentinel into the turret.  Dependent on the Sentinel, rewards different turret types.  That being said, some turrets can be out there simply to knock back enemies (Wyrm), or shoot shield recovering rounds (Shade), or just be the typical outright damage turret (Deathcube).

I like this, seems like Roland's turret ability from Borderlands, for those of you who have played it. People within range gain buffs as the turret does damage.

Sorry if I seemeed rude , was just criticising , the ideas in last post are nice.

Probably my fault for not clearly stating exactly what my proposed abilities did. I tried to explain it best I could, but I can see where you thought some abilities were copies of others.

  9. For third alt skill, why not give exe full energy regen, but at its highest level, it doesn't regen 75 energy? That way you lose energy when you use it, so it can't be spammed.

See, that one was an awkward one. Maybe it only regens 25 or 50 for him, while maybe 75 or 100 for his teammates. To be honest, I hope to see a reply with another possible 3rd ability.

    situational as @#$%

Situational, but can still be quite useful, especially in higher level missions.

  10. Hello! I was thinking about a new type of warframe, since I've managed to craft and try out every warframe already. Nova is keeping my attention fully at the moment but I've had this idea in my head for a while, and I might as well post it.

Exe would be a warframe that would use his exceptional hacking and bypassing skills to give his team benefits, give his enemies problems, and other tasks you would expect a hacker to do.

What he would look like is an average warframe, most likely with more armor, and most, if not all, of his joints be servos or motors. He might have a keyboard on one forearm, a screen on the other, and wires going to a futuristic helmet, maybe along the lines of this: http://fc08.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2012/277/7/2/futuristic_helmet_by_nfwar-d5gsdc2.jpg

His abilities could be somewhat like these:

1st ability: 25 energy - Instantly bypasses any type of lockdown.

I've had moments on a mission on high leveled planets where a lockdown splits our group, and then half of us gie because we can't unlock the doors to let our friends in. This could be balanced by making you have to be in range (upgrades increase range) of a console, or by making hacking lockdowns a bit harder, as those times are only when we are overwhelmed by enemies, otherwise I can usually unlock a panel with 12 remaining on the timer.

2nd: 50 energy - Bypass warframe limitations: Increase armor rating and shield capacity by a certain amount each level for a time that increases each level.

This would make most warframes be able to take much more punishment, and could turn the tide of a defense or capture mission, as this could also apply to the hostage.

3rd: 50 energy - Hack turrets in the area to fight on your side.

I thought this through, and it doesn't seem like the best idea, but I'm keeping it in here for the sake of opinion. Upgrading would probably increase either turret proximity range, turret shooting range, or turret damage.

3rd alternate: 75 energy - Hack warframe ability system to produce energy for a limited time.

I thought this up as some sort of alternative. Upgrading would increase the regen per second or the duration of the regen. Lowered/No regen for Exe as he could easily spam it like that.

4th: 100 energy - Hack microchip in enemy's braing and remote control the enemy.

This was a promising ability, but as I thought about it, I realised that it would be really awkward to control them, as the devs might have either had to make playermodels for every enemy, or some other complicated addition. If it does make it, upgrades could increase power range.

4th alternate: 100 energy - Lock all armor systems in surrouding area, rendering all enemies incapable of movement for a time.

Simple, yet effective. By locking the enemies' armor, the enemies are prevented from moving at all. Upgrades would increase range/time of power. However, because of the similarities between this and Loki's ability, I got another alternate for this one.

4th alternate 2: 100 energy - Hacks teammates weapon systems to increase max damage/stun/elemental damage/armor piercing/other buffs to weapons.

This would most likely have to take a few hotfixes to get the balance right, as you wouldn't want it to be too overpowered, and yet it needs to be worth the 100 energy. Upgrades increase effect of ability/teammate detection range.

He would have a base 100 health, but due to his knowledge of warframe systems, he will have increased shields (125-150) and an increase in armor rating. However, care needs to be taken not to turn him into a Rhino.

Feedback is greatly appreciated, and any abilities/other feedback deemed useful/worthy will be added to the first post with consent by the poster, or a link to their post if not.

Not too artistic, but hopefully I can turn out some sort of picture as to what he might look like.

  11. You guys are working very hard. I feel bad from all the outcries happening constantly. Some are constructive feedbacks, but others are simply bashing.

In any case, thanks for all these hotfixes. Keep it up! We'll keep on reporting issues on our side while having fun (hopefully, at least I am).

At least people aren't accusing them of breaking the drop rates on purpose to force us to buy them anymore. That was just stupidity at it's finest.

  12. Adding this on because I found this out not an hour after the update. Feel free to quote this in the main post.

New room in Update 9: Found in Tier 2 Capture mission. (Other types untested for this room)

Discovered by Commander_Snake_Eyes (Me) and Critical_Penguin.

    Screenshot of the room:

You want to find the side with three giant tube-shaped protrusions and go inbetween two like so:

    http://i.imgur.com/ILL13yS.jpg

Then, you want to look for this wall and wallrun to the other side of the room:

    http://i.imgur.com/8jyBBKq.jpg

After that, you will be up here with the tall tubes of blue energy:

    http://i.imgur.com/Dwe3bwH.jpg

You want to find one of the two tubes that are on the outer edges, and wallrun to the top, between one of the golden struts alongside the tube, and the outer wall (Same wall you wallrunned on, or opposite wall):

    http://i.imgur.com/5gEyD4H.jpg

Once you get to the top ledge of the blue pillar (or another rest spot) look for the open grating on the wall opposite. Then look for the ledge under it:

    Jump to here:

Make your way over to the grate:

    Go in the grate (obviously):

On the other side is this loot room:

Had some storage containers and some openable lockers. A decent sized stockpile. And if this was here before this, I apologize. I had done numerous towers and had never seen this anywhere on my towers or the forums.

OP may repost this in his original post (Hopefully with pictures on-site. I don't know how to)

OP may also modify any pictures of mine to more clearly highlight what I was trying to say, as it was a bit difficult to explain.
