  1. I have an Emotional Support Dog.

    His name is Cayde.

Cayde is a St. Bernard's Dog.

Whenever I have a panic attack, Cayde is there. He's always there when I need him. No matter how many times I panic and proceed to curl up on the floor, cry, sweat, and freak out in general, that dog is there. He'll sit by my side to help me through the attacks. I love Cayde to death. He won't bark or growl at strangers, he'll just keep a watchful eye on them whenever he thinks they're trouble. Whenever I tend to get frustrated, that dog will nuzzle into me as if he's saying 'Hey, everything's going to be alright'. Cayde is always so...happy. Upbeat. He's really patient too. Sometimes when I'm sick I tend to stumble. A lot. I can't tell you how many times those icy blue eyes of his has looked up at me as he sat down, waiting for me to walk along.

Recently, however, Cayde got sick. I'd rather not go into detail about the specifics. I just wanted to share how much Cayde means to me, that's all. I dunno what we did to deserve dogs, but I'm grateful as hell for mine.

  2. The Stalker didn't even flinch. He looked at the Tenno and then down at Angus' hammer. He slowly began to approach them.

"Angus, you can't run from your past..."

The words sent shivers down the Rhino's spine as he pressed a button on the elevator to send it back up. The door was refusing to close, for some reason. He picked up the helmet from a deceased crewman and threw it at an object that was jamming the door. In a split second the Stalker threw one of his deadly throwing knives into Angus' shoulder, which penetrated the armor as if it were tinfoil. The elevator door slammed shut before the assassin could do anything else. The Rhino sat down on the elevator floor in painful silence, glancing back at his bleeding shoulder from time to time. Why he didn't let the Stalker kill him then and there was a question to him. He was indeed tired of running from his past, as the Stalker had said. He was tired of seeing his friends killed. He was tired of doing a job he sometimes felt he wasn't cut out to do. Yet, for some reason, he continues to live and breathe that job.

  3. Angus scowled, and stepped into the elevator as the door opened. "I don't need new weapons...all I need is my hammer." It promptly sparked again. He looked back up and saw the lights flicker, and go out. He tensed up and saw the Stalker standing over the deceased Captain's body.

"Impossible..." The Rhino was practically frozen in shock.

    (I dunno, to be honest.)

Oookaay....guess that's good. I don't know what happened to the others so we're probably just gonna time skip to the next chapter. I guess.

  5. Balgaire got up and watched Jes walk away, to which he frowned. He looked down at the mangled Captain's body, a small pool of blood forming. The Colonel brushed himself off and leaned against the wall, but couldn't keep his eyes from wandering back towards the Grineer. He turned towards the Captain and with deft hands he propped him against the wall on the ground. He'd remove the damaged faceplate and put it in his hand.

"Well, you didn't die in the most honorable way," He sat down next to the deceased Grineer. "But nobody has to know."

  6. Balgaire stepped forward, hoping the Grineer wouldn't pass or die. He decided to go a little easier on the Captain. He'd take a knee next to the Grineer and exhaled, maintaining his patience. He'd then look at Jes.

    "Jes...you might kill him...hold back a bit."

    (Sorry, college schedule is crazy.)

  7. The Tech stepped forward once more. Breaking a bone in his leg was what he was deciding on. Balgaire had then raised his own makeshift leg up and brought it back down quickly, right on the Grineer's leg.

Balgaire's leg wasn't able to make its own shockwave, such as a regular shockwave Moa would, for obvious safety reasons. It still hit the Captain's leg with such force that another large snap could be heard, forcing out another scream from him.

  8. The Colonel stepped forward, enjoying this bit of the mission in some way. As he raised his fist he saw the Captain flinch, but he seemed to already anticipate the pain.

There was a clear difference between both of their body languages. The Grineer Captain was clearly in pain but stayed with his method of silent denial. In the end, it wouldn't change his fate. Balgaire on the other hand was loving every bit of this, cracking his knuckles and whatnot.

The Tech finally launched a heavy strike at the Grineer's head and it landed clean and true, mostly because of bottled up anger. The Captain's head was knocked to the side, the crack in his faceplate widening. If this wasn't an interrogation, Balgaire would have kept swinging at him.

  9. Balgaire was actually glad that the Tenno had used her powers to get the Private to leave. He watched the group of crewman leave the area, feeling as if he was on cloud nine. He turned back around to the Grineer Captain, who was still holding his ankle.

"I'm not telling you dishonorable fools a word..." The captive began. "Even with all you have, you covet the wealth of the Grineer..."

His voice was raspy but somewhat threatening. His faceplate was cracked as well. The Colonel glanced at the Sergeant and the Tenno, and back to the captive. He then frowned. He was a stubborn one, quite like the Private. There were many other ways to interrogate him, of course. You could slowly cut into his arm like that first slice of bread in a restaurant, or simply use a fist every time their captive would refuse to say something useful.

    "Strength to the-"

Balgaire stepped on the Captain's broken ankle to interrupt his chant. After a sharp yell out of pain, the Tech lifted his foot.

  10. The Corpus Private was beginning to get an attitude of impatience yet again, reloading a sidearm. He was tired of waiting for the others to get back.

"Let's just kill him already. We have what we came for." He used his rifle and poked Balgaire's makeshift leg to get his attention.

"No-" The Colonel nearly stammered. "Stop doing that. It's not a toy, and we are going to wait for further orders."

The Tech was getting impatient himself. Not only did the Grineer hostage keep yelling futile attempts for help, but the Private would not stop bugging him about killing the hostile himself. It was the same complaint every 30 seconds. So yet again, the disobeying Private poked Balgaire's leg and asked the same question.

"Will you stop that?" He pushed his ally's rifle back. He looked like he was going to tear the Private apart limb from limb. The other crewmen stepped back, somewhat enjoying the Colonel's bad attitude.

  11. The Colonel rushed to the door, and began hacking it. It was actually more complex than he thought. He had it under control, but it didn't sound like it. He managed to open it but it appeared there was a hostile hiding, or just not there. "One point for the Tech..." He muttered.

He walked through, and saw the one hostile attempted to hide. Balgaire was about to scream out of shock but kept quiet, but it wasn't the same case for the Grineer. He screamed at the top of his lungs, and the Colonel kicked his ankle with his prosthetic leg. There was a snap and the hostile was holding his apparent broken ankle. Balgaire did a quick fist pump and said 'Two points for the Tech'.

That's totally fine. I was just wondering if I can start posting on the in-character thread when an opportunity presents itself or if I have to wait until you post the next chapter or something?

Awesome timing! I just posted the reply to the next chapter in the IC thread. In each chapter, the Lotus personally announces to the Tenno to join the others from chapter one so the whole RP flow keeps going smoothly. You can probably just meet them on the way out of the Corpus ship Angus was captured in if you want.

  13. He turned around rather quickly, looking at his ally. The snap that emitted from the crewman's neck had bothered him. A lot. But why? The Corpus executioner clearly wanted to kill him and they broke his hammer, so why bother? He was about to yell something out of anger but just turned back around, gripping the handle of the hammer so hard that it looked like it would break. The energy in the room that came from Angus was pure anger. Ordis had popped up starting to talk to all the Tenno.

"Well done Operators! You've rescued Angus. So, Angus, if you could just-"

"Not now Ordis..." The Rhino grumbled.

    "But, Operator-"

"I said not now Ordis!" Angus used a booming voice, which startled Ordis.

The Lotus began to talk privately to everyone but Angus, naturally. "Tenno, there is another stray Operative stranded in another Corpus facility. They will be a valuable asset to us in the future. You must convince Angus to go with you to rescue them, no matter what he says. You may not be able to do this without him. Make no delay." With that, Ordis replaced her on the Tenno's HUD.

"Right-um..." He began stammering, still shocked after the Rhino's outburst. "Of-of course you should expect heavy resistance. Hopefully -that little impatience son of a- you can convince Angus to accompany you. I've never seen him like this, except that time a Mag playfully got him stuck in a-"

" Ordis. " The Lotus interfered and Ordis apologized, respectfully. "Tenno, you know your mission. Good luck." Hopefully, for the last time, they ended their mission briefing.
