  1. I don't mind in the case of TD4 because the first 20 waves feel like a waste of time anyways. Excalibur spamming "4" to 20 just lets us get to the good parts faster. Team should have just extracted at 20 rather than lazily let pod die, can't really blame anyone but the team for that type of neglect... Although I suspect those same Excaliburs didn't both to use Radial Blind...

     

    But yeah, playing a game where Excalibur / Mesa wipe out everything before you can even establish LOS can be pretty annoying if you actually intend to play the game. When Excalibur Radial Javelin change first occurred I dreaded Excalibur's presence on random alerts/invasions because I knew what was coming.

  2. Excalibur has become the DEFINITIVE Press 4 to win frame since the Radial Javelin change. All I ever hear of him in recruiting are players trying to get 3 Excaliburs + 1 Trinity for farming. Game already has too many radial damage AOEs and press 4 to win. It is almost like Excalibur is vindicating this design approach since he's the "face" of Warframe.

     

    I was a Radial Blind spammer b4 and yeah, LOS nerf sucked. Radial Blind was great but it wasn't exactly breaking the meta game, so I don't know why DE focused on that when you have much bigger problems to look at. (Cough EMBER cough)

     

    ALso I would like to add that Excalibur in DE's eyes is not a jack of all trades, he's a melee frame to them, just look at his augments, all of them are melee focused not to mention that 2 abilities are by default meant to help him melee (Slash dash, reach enemy, and Radial Blind, gain melee dmg boost and cover from fire).

     

    I think DE should just go all in with making Excalibur a melee frame as well and modify him to better suit the playstyle. A Melee frame with emphasis on mobility that as. At least faster movement and increased stamina. Excalibur's "balanced" stats are just gimp with the power creep at present. (Compare Excalibur's stats to Hydroid, or Nova Prime...)

     

    Rhino is the true newbie/noob jack of all trades frame, not Excalibur.

     

    Point is, Excal is being used somewhere. When was the last time you saw people asking for a Zephyr, Ember, or anything really that isn't Vauban, Frost, or Nova, or Excal?

    Zephyr is actually pretty ridiculous, turbulence is insanely good.

     

    Ember? Yeah. No on asks for Ember. Well one time someone started a x4 Ember void capture map (easiest map type...) in region just to change the dynamic a bit...

     

    So you're saying Excalibro went from a press-2 frame to a press-4 frame...?

    What changed exactly?

    Other players could actually participate with Radial Blind spam. That and there is an element of skill in quickly and efficiently eliminating the blinded enemies as Excalibur.

  3. I'm pretty sure fixing her most glaring issue atm (which is also a bug) is more important than removing an entire paradigm from the game because a vocal minority dislikes it.

    If you keep hearing the same arguments over and over, I suspect it is because:

     

    1) It is a common complaint amongst many different users who haven't participated in the same arguments

    2) Arguments that Ember aren't bad are weak and not being spread amongst the community

  5. No one requests Ember for her damage abilities. Saryn and Excalibur? Yes. Mesa? Yes. Ember? I hope you're joking.

     

    Ember for CC? No. Well, not unless you WANT the defense objective to die.

     

    The high damage multiplier for accelerant seems sexy until you remember it is only boosting the fire component. There are so many superior buffing/debuffing alternatives it is a little ridiculous. High raw % means little when you are buffing <50% of you weapon damage. Compare Accelerant to Sonar... Which has higher multipliers, range, duration, and boosts all damage. Now Banshee is an underrated lady.

    I find it odd that everyone seems to be ignoring Fireblast in the equation. With no duration Fireblast may as well not be there.

     

    That Fireblast doesn't even benefit from ranged mods is... Yeah. Did a CC experiment with the new ability mod and boy was that underwhelming. Something that may be interesting is merging Fireblast and Accelerant. Debuff enemies within Fireblast and have stun->panic proc as CC.

     

    The real problem though is that Ember is a close ranged damage over time frame that has crap survival tools... Not even mobility or stats. If DE wants Ember to be a close ranged pure damage glass cannon they need to up her mobility and give her BURST damage, not DoT. At least Overheat made sense with her initial design.

  6. Issue OP is raising is not stacking Accelerant damage buff but being able to reuse Accelerant's stun effect on afflicted enemies. And yeah. It would be a nice change... As would making accelerant cheaper. And... Many other things...

    But in all seriousness I think that the game has pretty good balance as far as gender goes.

    Banshee IS Strong though. How can a frame with a potential 1420% damage team buff with TWO abilities that can lockdown mobs be considered bad? Popularity != Strength.

     

    Ember? Yeah she is only good for her agile dual pistol animation.

    Both Rhino and Valkyr are going to lose their buffs. Valkyr is actually better off here as she can take hits without abilities far better.

     

    Hysteria is a great crutch and has revive/hack utility, but Warcry spam with a good melee weapon is where it's at anyways.

  9. Unless the damage boost scales instead of locking at 4x, Ember will best ex cals damage boost by 100-300%

    Except the x4 applies to all damage, not just fire.

     

    And Radial Blind's utility is on a completely different tier.

    As rude as it is for someone to go AFK without typing an explanation, sometimes stuff happens too. I wouldn't vilify someone off of a single second hand account.

  11. Chart is misleading due to iron skin which has a base absorb of 1200 at lvl 30 and can easily be much higher with mods (I run 133% power strength so ~2600 absorb).

    You can say the same for lacking Warcry's armor boost and err... Hysteria invulnerability. Warcry does have slow util as well, although it isn't as pronounced as say Molecular Prime.

     

    But yes, Rhino makes a great support frame thanks to Stomp CC and Roar buff... As rare as they are.

  12. Ember is a mess. When you compare Ember Prime to the other Primes I can't help but wonder if it's intentional too.

     

    And god no at Melee Accelerant Ember idea. Just use Excalibur. Radial Blind offers superior melee damage boost and gives useful team CC.

Odd thing is that Rhino makes a better well rounded beginner frame than Excalibur, and it clearly shows in use.  Rhino has a more well rounded skill set, he is easier to use, and Rhino doesn't need corrupted mods to shine unlike Excalibur. Rhino is also a godsend for new players who have to solo the majority of the maps. Iron Skin is wonderful when you lack any way to restore health, especially as infinite duration means that energy consumption isn't an issue either.

     

    The only problem with Rhino is that Iron Skin reliance makes for terrible players in any high level content (not just void) or when playing MOST frames. There are actually a few abilities that make Iron Skin look pretty mediocre... And it is odd that the Rhino fanboys never get to using them.

     

    It's just old concept of development. Should be fixed now, but DE don't have times for old things.

    And to appease the angry mob of Rhino nerf cultists, because iron skin works everywhere (that is until you hit the void.)

    Haven't heard that recently. If anything Rhino's roar could use a duration boost.

  14. Ember needs a rework as she is a joke presently.

     

    WoF is terrible aside from hitting enemies when out of LOS, especially with the excessively long casting animation. Toggle would help, yes.

     

    Accelerant as a team buff is terrible thanks to fire specific boost. Molecular Prime, Sonar, and Roar do the job far better. Relying on accelerant to boost her abilities to not be terrible just makes her energy inefficient.

     

    Using Accelerant melee Ember is a terrible suggestion. Loki/Ash can achieve 400% melee damage effortlessly with invisibility... Which also boost personal and team survival. Radial Blind Spam Excalibur is also superior in every conceivable way: Offers 400% damage boost, gives reliable team CC, has more range, and Excalibur himself is slightly tougher. Even then it was a risky way to play before the LOS nerf. There is a reason why you don't see many Melee Radial Blind Excaliburs despite the advantages it has over Melee Accelerant Ember. Melee Accelerant Ember just fluctuates from not a burden to a liability.

     

    Using accelerant to buff personal ranged? Hall of Mirrors + Eclipse boost damage far better and also make Mirage very tough to kill. That Mirage can offer team utility with Prism just makes things worse.

     

    Overheat removal makes no sense on a frame that is designed with close ranged damage over time abilities... Especially as Ember has no mobility tools and lacks burst. Kind of funny that Mesa; a ranged specialist frame, can achieve 95% DR without any issue with shatter shield. Mesa even has additional survival and team utility with shooting gallery.

     

    And while we are at it buff Ember Prime please. You cannot even use power creep as an excuse as she is inferior to Frost and Mag Prime. When I consider this among everything else I find it hard to believe that DE isn't going out of it's way to nerf Ember.

  15. Bombards are just tough, which is welcome. Bombards destroying Snow Globe isn't a problem as Snow Globe in general gets nuked at high waves. Snow Globe in general is terribly overrated. Problem wasn't that Bombard could destroy shield but that there was no CC to stop Bombard from bombing Snow Globe.

     

    Nullifiers having Lanka just makes them challenging, which is a good thing.

     

    Nullifer shields have BS mechanics, which is not cool for anyone that doesn't sell their soul to weapons like Boltor Prime, Soma, or S. Gammacor. Sure I can easily kill them with my S. Gammacor. That I am severely punished for using my HEK; a weapon that for all purposes should completely shatter the shield due to high pellet count + high damage, is ridiculous.

     

    Warframe doesn't need to actively punish players whom dare to use Snipers, Bows, Shotguns, Launchers, and so forth. Especially since DE tends to neglect those weapons already.

  16. I can understand Payloads not being grabable as things that make contact with Limbo are not drawn into the rift with him. Consider enemies you bump into while riftwalking.

     

    The bigger issue to me is why can't we loot items that are enveloped within Cataclysm... The items are clearly within the rift plane, so why the hell can't I pick them up? It's an illogical change that only makes Limbo aggravating to play with.

  17. I find this annoying as well. Losses don't matter because of crap like this, but I still dislike accumulating losses for things completely out of my control. As DE clearly has logic to identify this condition I do not see any reason for it to be lazily thrown in as a "mission failed."
