First of all let me apologize because questions like this are being asked frequently, but still, the results i got from google are often out-dated.
So, I'm super new to the game (MR 5) and now that i'm starting to get Forma's and being quite weak on my own in terms of dmg output i'm starting to wonder what weapon i could/should invest in without feeling it was a waste much later on (<- Many people giving advice about newbie weapons also point out that "you should just play what you like", I'm not really interested in that - I realize there are varying powerlevels of weapons and they are suitable for different task)
I already made my choice which warframe I wanna invest in (Mag, as stated in the title) so now the next question is, what weapon can I pump formas and my reactor into without regretting it later? Is Dex Nikana worth it? What about the Dread, does it fall off?
As stated above, I do not really care about personal preference, since i have not developed that yet and have no intention to try out every weapon i have access to before increasing my damage output
TL;DR: What weapon can I invest in as a newbie Mag player to get through midgame/finish starchart and start farming? Thanks a lot in advance for your help! ❤️
Side note: Is mag prime worth saving up for and buying with plat?
