  1. I mean Warframe didn't nail that on the first try.

A Space Combat Game nailed Space Combat on the first try? Wow...

Hey, can they nail third person shooter with RPG elements on the very first try too?

I mean, we literally waited years for the "RPG" portion of the game. For a story, for an origin, for anything aside from just "shoot this guy because we said to"

Yes you are right. The game is lacking in transport story/lore outside of the story missions. The normal mission we play everyday are naked/ souless in story except the one liners that we get per transmission.

So when you play this game for a long time you ask yourself more and more what is the point of doing this mission now.

Sadly the story part is like a small appendage(i hope its not a bad or completely wrong word in english) that gets rarely new content because it takes long time to make it.Then it feels like its not really implemented in the game like archwing.

K0bra you're a god send. I 100% agree with you. This game's story exists outside the game itself. Nothing happens when you kill bosses aside from you're allowed to go to other planets. They don't say why you're stuck on this one planet because of a boss, outside of Vor you don't have any bosses tied to your frames story or to the game at all-excluding the second dream-and literally nothing that you do in the game affects the game or the story in any way shape or form. I remember years ago Steve promising that what we did in Quests and such would affect the story and gameplay, but alas, maybe it was the first dream that never came to fruition.

  3. So rather than read the response that tells you that that entire paragraph is sarcasm or even reading the post you quoted where I told you that I was being sardonic at your expense in that very paragraph. . . you instead quote. . what I have twice told you was not to be taken seriously. @armedpoop

    Yea, ok.

I told you to read, comprehend, reply. That's beyond you, apparently. I'll end my responses to you here. You can't even read what I've typed at you. Have a good one.

so literally your whole reason for being against it is that it would make a portion of the community salty or angry? I dont think thats a valid enough reason to NOT change a system in this game considering that hasnt stopped DE in the past. Nobody is saying its difficult to get mastery or like its hard to come by, its just not fun or interesting (to most people, I personally dont mind it however)

@armedpoop  Dude. Seriously. Is English your main language? If it's not, I'll go back to the satiric posting that I was doing, but I don't think you are actually taking the time to read my posts before you whip up a response. I just told you that I was using "salt" and "toxic" to mimic you and be sardonic at your expense. . aka sarcasm. I then went on to state that the complaints that you have and the wants of the OP are ALREADY being met and worked on by DE and listed examples.

WHERE IN MY POST did you get ANYTHING that would let you respond with

    READ. COMPREHEND. REPLY.

As they say in the corporate world, Prepare, Present, Observe (THE RESPONSE), Provide Feedback, Evaluate. . . Try it.

Seeing as it's a free to play game, the mastery system also makes you play longer (or even buy plat) to try and get the higher rank by using weapons you wouldn't normally use and just ignore.

Not saying the current system is good, it just makes sense (to me at least) for a free to play game finding ways to keep you playing or spending money to skip, also as others said, changing the system now would also have to allow for all the work the people at high mastery ranks have put in to get those ranks

^ This. Speaking of "Skipping" the OP bought the PA skipping the farm for VP and if he went the full way has double experience/credit boosters to aid in his farming of.....

aaaand this is the other point: with things like Draco around, MR becomes even more trivial, and easier to obtain thus further diminishing whatever reason to feel some type of way about a new way of gaining mastery. (in my opinion of course)

^ This place. Because with Draco being around you can just take the frame/everything you hate into Draco and level it there in 1-3 waves depending onhow many items you are carrying.

I'm only MR 13, and I agree with Krultek.  Could it have been said using less or different words?  Maybe.  With the bonuses that are given to weapons now with higher MR rank, I'm rather proud of my work to get my rank.  I will say this.  It's not like it was a hard thing to do.  :D

A valid point that I will concede ground to. I apologize to the OP if my words brought harm or other negative emotions about.

  6. Oh, the "salty" and "toxic" comments were just me reusing buzzwords that you had used. I was trying to break my argument down into something that you would read and process as you seemed to pass over everything else people were saying and kept responding with "It's their choice."

DE knows that obtaining Mastery isn't the most fun thing in the world. That's why the max weapon/item rank cap is somewhere along the lines of 8-10? You get through the majority of your mastery just clearing the map and they give you multiple, multiple, multiple items and weapons to level so that you can just sit on your  favorite frame and play only that up to and through the highest rank weapon cap. As for dailies and the like? You get a weapon for logging in for 100 days.

  7. @armedpoopNo one has said anything about it not being their choice. I don't get why you keep bringing that part up. Fine, let's ignore everything else that's being said and follow your method.

It is his choice as to whether or not he does what it takes to earn Mastery Rank under the current system, but to change an entire system to fit the whims of his and other people whom don't wish to put in the same effort as their peers for the same reward/award/what have you, would be like casting toxic or surf (because it'd be an ocean of salt) on the community with super effective results. As  Armedpoop states, it is their choice. They can choose to grind everything like their predecessors and peers or choose not to. Asking DE to change the entire system?

Holy smokes, are you serious? Thats some hardcore entitlement, wow. (maybe not entitlement, but its something...conviction maybe? Why is it always non-founders with this kind of attitude?)  Its really not that serious. You really need to take that attitude out of this thread, it just screams toxicity.

I do disagree with being able to get more from your fav gear.

Am I doing it right? Will this reach him?

I literally just hit MR22 myself, and I could care less if they adjusted the way mastery is earned, tho I do disagree with being able to get more from your fav gear.

Entitlement? Surely you jest. Yes, it was my choice to do all of that and I never implied otherwise. The path is there, could it be more fun. . only if the essence of the game itself was changed. He complained about not enjoying leveling literally EVERYTHING in the game aside from weapons and wants for there to be a path for him to grind Mastery else where. Take your white knighting attitude to a dictionary and read up on what the definition(s) of "Entitlement" really mean before you spout senseless drivel.

Edit: And to add on a quote of my self here "the nothing that awaits you at the top"-there's no prestige in being MR22, you get a higher cap for the ability to farm with. . . That's it. By the time you've reached MR22, it is still worthless.

  9. As someone who just hit MR 22. . . Deal. With. It. Do you think that I enjoyed leveling the Amphis? Or the Bo staff? Or going back to purchase the MK-1 versions of weapons I've already leveled? Do you think that I enjoyed playing Limbo to 30? Of calling friends to see if they could buy a damned Prova Vandal on my sacred account for me because I deigned to have a life outside of this game? You have your path to obtaining mastery, now you bloody walk it. If it's too steep a hill to climb, then you obviously didn't have the will and don't deserve the nothing that awaits you at the top.

  10. I just completed my t3 Syndicate mission. It was an Interception on some random planet, but upon completing it and receiving the rewards I see that I still have 9/9 syndicate missions to complete today.

Tried to include screenshots, but the post says I'm not allowed to use that image extension on this community.

  11. I have zero problem paying for them, and the current rumor is that they can be upgraded. And no, they're not to be "capitalized" on, they're a bonus which is nice, but not broken. I feel like people are asking for broken, and when they don't get it they cry. (nice copy and paste btw) As people have said, fastest time? 13 minutes. 13 minutes for a passive stat boost to be attached to something that would normally be USELESS. Cosmetic to stat holding item.

TL;DR? People need to stop overreacting to the first iteration of a new feature. it'll be patched, it's not as bad as you think it is, and just enjoy warframe.

You have got to be kidding me. Who goes to a raid and spends literal hours of time to be happy with a reward that is near useless?

  12. Well. I have been playing this game since closed beta and I agree with OP. I won't lie, the only reason I Continue playing this game is because of the time invested. Like a terrible relationship I find myself unable to leave, but I do believe this is a garbage game. DE doesn't know what they're doing. Everything that we hyped over was terrible and I don't expect there to be any good implementation of any of their ideas henceforth.

If you look at it, nearly everything DE has released has needed an incredible drastic over haul just to be passable.
Abilities, Mods, Melee, PvP (Coming soon), Damage, Damage types, Kubrows (Will get a 2.0), and Archwing will probably get a 2.0 as well.

In truth, they barely hype things up, they're just like "We're introducing this! It's going to be fun!" and we let our imaginations run wild. At the end of the day, though, DE hasn't released anything without a massive grind and once more, massive problems. Rather than the majority of these issues being fixed, we sit down and just say "That's how it is to be."

It has been two or three years now since DE promised that they would work on Lore and how they would use the quest system to expand upon everything. However, the quest system is only being used to introduce new content and explain nothing of the old. They are more concerned with making new events for new exclusive items and re using old contents such as bosses than they are with expanding this universe/world.

I have friends who come to this game and say it's garbage and I don't have much to defend it with. You want to do damage? Well let's prepare to grind, not weapons, but mods up to rank 10. Don't forget to farm void religiously so that you can be ready when the trader comes around. Make sure you either buy platinum (If you think you don't have to then enjoy trying to craft the new weapons that require two previously crafted weapons) or sell weapons  as soon as you're done leveling them for mastery.

I had waited a long time for this game to o become something more enjoyable; a very long time for it to be expanded upon. Then I realized that no matter what I hope for this game will just continue to be lack luster and I will continue to dedicate an hour or so every other day to it in hopes that I'm at some point wrong.

Have I mentioned how stupid mastery is? Level all weapons, all levels of terrible so that you can use other weapons with less levels of terrible.

There is a lot of content nobody plays, people only play level that drops shiny things, i hope they will add more interactive elements to existing tiles, and make more incentive to visit regular planets and do regular missions, like they did with Spy2.0

What content? After you clear the planets, what is there? The void and dark sectors. Cool. Play the same tile sets with different mission types for years. The content.

  13. What are you talking about? The rails are the end game after all, they should be plenty to keep you going from now until the end of time! Oh wait, your telling me that the "endgame" rail system is crap and really isn't any good for endgame? But, DE tells us this was a great idea and just needs a few tweaks, like pvp, custom bots, or maybe another game type or two and it will be the ultimate. Doesn't it feel like endgame to you?

lmao. The sarcasm is so painful. I get what they are doing. They're just trying to make the game better for the new players while adding in a few things for the old guys. Us older players have been here forever and DE knows we won't be leaving anytime soon. So they're just trying to retain the people they pick up. I'm not bitter.

  14. Ironically, I run a few miles every day to charge my 3ds powers. ;d

How about go outside? Running and playing sports always relaxes me after hours of farming Warframe fun.

Now you suffer in dream of a good endgame.

The hilarity is that there's just nothing after the grind. T_T No story, no anything. I've been playing the game for a year or so and maxing out was all I was concerned with. Now that I've gotten there, I'm just kind of at a loss. There are a few improvements I would like to see to the game in general, but that's just my "selfish" wants as a consumer.

  15. It has taken some time, but I have leveled every available item in the game. I have maxed out every warframe, sentinel, sentinel weapon, and weapon that there is to master. After going through all the planets, I guess. .

    giphy.gif

I guess now I can finally play the game.

This is the part where I'm like "Would be nice if there were more lore or substance past the leveling of items" or "I wish that scanning happened upon the killing of an npc."

As there isn't really anything else left to do. I have farmed out the farmframe and it makes me sad.
