Tenno Maybe Failing Forwards?

By failing forwards, I mean something other than an unsuccessful mission end happening as a result of having failed an objective. Like how if you fail to stop Salad V's hitmonster, you play a special mission. i'm thinking like:

Capture target got away? Option to sabotage the ship they're trying to leave on!

Greneer blew up the console on that mobile vault? Blow up some AA hardware on the plains to open the way for Ordis to just steal the whole damn vault so he can chew it open in space!

Failed to stop a supply drop? Hunt for supply caches to steal the stuff anyway.

Enemy blew up a mobile defense console? Get your Spy on to get that data anyway.

Whilst this makes sense lore-wise, this system of not failing forwards is for gameplay reasons.

Basically, each mission is like a level in another game. You fail the objective? Too bad, go back to the start.

With that in mind, however, this might work for Railjack. Using one of your examples, a sabotage mission to blow up a capital ship could have multiple objectives. Failing to complete it one way might not close off the others - although it should make it harder, of course. Failure still has consequences.
