Can't Download/Verify!

I was downloading the recent hotfix when my PC somehow crashed and interrupted the download. After that, it won't continue. Stays on 240.4 KB and still checking for updates. I tried to force a verification but that one is stuck at 1% as well now. I have tried the troubleshooting alternatives but they don't work. Been an hour with no progress.

You may need to uninstall / reinstall the entire game.

I managed to give it a push but it's not enough. Disabled ALL launcher settings (64bit, bulk download etc.) and it downloaded the remaining updates successfully. However, verifying went to 8% and is stuck there instead. What to do more? I don't think I want to close it now.
