"Shuang Gou" Hook Swords style ?

Third passioned shaolin weapon topic ! (From kungfu, with love !)

The Shuang Gou, to me, are actually the most impressive shaolin weapon existing. Difficult as the San Jie Gun previously quoted, only the best ranked monks have the right to master thoses things. The specificities of this weapon is that it litterally has blades and spades on every sides, and it can be drawed hooked together to reach a considerable range.

The main issue is the different modes of operations.
The thing is how are we going to toggle between the dual sword and linked mode ? 

 

Linked mode is used as a whip

 

 

as well as using the front of the guard's crescent as crescent blade ? (yuan yang dao)
(Fist weapon)

 

 

Better still the bottom of the handle using "ice-pick grip" as dual daggers ?

 

Maybe alt fire to switch mode, but this can get rather troublesome since there is no actual grapple in the game 
as in hooking enemy shield using the hook with one hand and slicing the enemy with the other. 
which in the end it is just mashing E and feels like generic dual sword or any of the weapon function described.

It is one of those weapons that looks simple but the full utilization of all the features 
will require years of practice in individual aspects while not hurting yourself with the complicated features, 
so a E button mash can be really hard using all the combos.

About how would the linked mod be on : why not include it in a combo ? because shuang gou are never used linked continuously. Or what about using the "hold to strike" to do toggle a linked strike in order to hit a target far further directly ?
