Her skills are more redundant than ever, but they are also more powerful than ever. She may see more changes in U10 (like Mag just did), but there probably wont be many more changes. Overheat might become more defensive again, but that's anyone's guess.

She gets disrupted with overheat on.

She gets no additional protection from toxic ancients.

She has no CC abilities.

I'm not sure where this idea, she's good against infested comes from.

She has no utility, scales horribly with enemy levels, Most other 'caster' frames can do what she does better. Heck, even Saryn the tank can 'cast' better than she does.

Maybe after the U10 armour rework. But seriously, don't touch her before then...

Avoid Ember for now. Wait until her next set of changes and see what the warframe feedback people are saying. If they scream OP, build her. In the mean time, Saryn or Nova have similar playstyles to Ember. Saryn is more like the old tank Ember, while Nova is what Ember is currently trying to be in terms of damage.

I'd rather have a Nova, Trinity, and Frost at all times.

 

Nova has speed and offense. (you can no ignore frames like Saryn, Loki, and Ember)

Frost has the bubble, and having a Frost is important because who knows? Your friend and yourself may just need a Frost, but they accidentally forma'd theirs at a bad time.

Trinity has support that nobody else has.

 

Basically, if you want offense, Nova has that covered, PLUS has speed.

 

Or you can just buy platinum and have ALL frames instead of worrying about which you should have.

Craft her.... she needs 3 days anyway and she is 6000 mastery points at worst... do it, try her and than decide on your own.

 

Lot of us are disappointed because we were used to the old Ember... but since you havent that experience it cant hurt you

Except for the mastery points, I dont see any point of building her.

Everything she does, Nova does a lot better, is faster, does have more utility. There is no need for a caster frame at the moment other than Nova.

Of course you should build her! This is a pokemon game, afterall. You gotta build them all!

But seriously, unless you are resource bound, build any frame you can -- they are all interesting and fun to play for a while at the very least.
