Synoid Simulor sound everywhere

Just did a Bounty in Orb Valis, I could hear my teammates Synoid Simulor clicking sound from everywhere on the map no matter how far away from them I was. It was this atrocious clicking noise that I could not escape. My other team mate heard the same noise at any and every distance from the third member who had the weapon.
