GPU particles look strange since recent update

It doesn't happen every time, and it's not exclusive to Orb Vallis, but it is more common there. Not exclusive to the capture target effect but that was the easiest to demonstrate. GPU is a Radeon RX 460, 2gb. Never saw this happen before the recent lighting update. 

 

For reference this is how it's supposed to look.

This happens mostly in Landscapes for me, but I have encountered this issue aswell; it's like the particles decided to resort to 8-bit-like rendering solutions, losing the fluidity they once had.

...Such a style must be preserved for a Sentient/digital themed frame who's abilities sound 8-bit or something.
