Cannot throw thermia canister without secondary/staying on secondary after throwing thermia canister

When fighting the exploiter orb, I was unable to throw or drop a thermia canister if I didn't have a secondary equipped. I could pick it up and the button prompt showed up, but nothing beyond that worked.

Also, when using your primary and picking up a thermia canister, it now stays on your secondary even after you throw the canister. I don't remember held items working this way before today (it would always swap back to your primary if that's what you had before picking the item up), so I'm unsure if it's a bug. If it isn't a bug, it still feels bad.

So I wasn't crazy after all.

Every single time I picked up the canister, it refused to put me back on the melee or primary I had out when picking it up.
I hope it's a bug.

Also had it. Had to abort because I ran out of bullets and ammo restores and because the orb didn't spawn more fractures..
