vladiko2 Posted September 19, 2013 Share Posted September 19, 2013 reasons: 1. bp for this beast can be bought from market. 2. it requires very low mastery rank. 3. with only 2 formas soma outperforms flux with 6 formas! 4. with rifle amp it kills 80+ heavy units in 2-3 secs 5. with ammo mutator (new sentinel opt.) you will always have full ammo on xini wave 5-20 this is typical cheap fit with 2 formas: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

They arent nerfing it (hopefully), but they are raising its mastery rank. Prolly around 5-6, maybe even 7, since rank is staring to get up there. EinRyu Posted September 19, 2013 Share Posted September 19, 2013 It's probably gonna be 8 since Embolist is MR8 and I wouldn't be surprised if Synapse turns out that high also. For the Clan Tech Weps they plan on buffing them to match the costs though, I feel Soma was honestly a mistake on there end when it was released with no MR Cap because now almost everyone has pretty much the Best Rifles/Guns in the game as of now. It's easy to double and sometimes triple your DPS with it, even without the extra 30% fire rate it provides. I honestly don't find Cryo Rounds necessary at all. You should easily have put on shred + bane mod, if this was a defensive mission weapon set anyway. If you need ammo that badly just use carrier and use your secondary for like a minute.
