Returning Player need help

So I've recently played the game again after a year or so, due to burnout and I need help with the new updates especially after the sacrifice quest

any tips on where/what i should do first?

after sacrifice quest if you want more lore stuff you get to the ropapolyst figth on jupiter the new gas city tiles. if you want the newer warframes then fortuna and ropaolyst. if you want endgame the arbitrations, eso and boss figths(exploiter and profit taker orbs on orb vallis and eidolon on plains), there is also a new mode disruption on jupiter which is kinda endgame mode is tower defense and you gotta kill a bulletsponge to complete the wave.

was there a recent change with the weapon system, because every time i try to quick melee, it always switch to melee mode and it's super annoying

also the damage, maybe its my mods or has enemies been buffed because my go to weapons are not doing good in the plains and fortuna

Yes, there was a recent change...

Quick melee now puts you in full melee mode. You can now aim to pull your gun back out.

Someone else should be more than willing to type up the problems in this system in their entirety.
