Atterax Broken?

So I started a new account on pc and went straight for atterax right off mr 2 and I noticed it wasn't hitting enemies consistently. The atterax has no stance and only fury, pressure point and reach, but I've noticed the whip sometimes randomly disappears or turns into a backwards C shape and refuses to hit enemies. Please fix my end game carry weapon. I linked 2 gifs showing off the state of the weapon below.

All whips (and Sword & Whip) weapons had that bug since melee weapons got a hitscan check on attack to not go through walls/to end attacks on wall hits. Sadly for "some reason" it means that when a weapon whos hitbox changes during animation gets told it already hit, it goes into that "default"/retracted/finished attack animation, but for a bugged duration it got forced into it.


Also technically zaws now reign supreme as they tend to have prime stats + 2-4m free range ontop of the average of the weapon category with no downside, much like kitguns dealing 30%+ more min damage than top end secondaries did.
