Suggested alternative to open world content

So with some of the posts that sometimes show up on the forums, it's obvious that there's a portion of the playerbase that simply doesn't enjoy the open world content. And there's plenty of legit complaints about the current implementation, which I won't go into.

I think I have an interesting idea for an alternative form of content that could be implemented for people who want to stay away from the open world content, for whatever reason.

On each planet there could be a "colony" node that acts as a mission hub. As an example, on Earth, we could use the Iron Wake for this, since it already exists (and serves almost no purpose right now). Ideally, this would mean adding some Ostrons to Iron Wake, ostensibly seeking the protection of the Steel Meridian.

At these colony locations, you could access a different form of bounty board from the local denizens. These would be individual missions unique to the colonies. We can call them colony missions for simplicity. The idea that you queue up for the missions and head out on a normal mission run like any other in the starchart, using the tile sets of the base planet. But these missions would offer rewards that you might typically get from, in this specific case, Cetus or the Plains. There would be the standard bounty rewards that we're used to from Konzu, but there would also be missions that have drop tables including fish, gems, wisps, and all that sort of stuff - specifically for those hoping to bypass the open world. (Ideally, the rewards would be in amounts that don't make this THE de facto superior method of resource farming)

I think to make this a more interesting form of content, these missions would have slightly different objectives from what we would normally see on the star chart - themed around the idea that you're supporting the colony in different ways. Perhaps a Colony Defense mission would have you defending civilians from an invasion of enemy Grineer or Infested (similar to what we did for the Myconia colony). Or a Colony Hijack could have us raiding an enemy fortification to steal supplies for the colony, with NPCs from the colony helping us in the mission. Perhaps we could do a Colony Assault, that has us tearing down an enemy base that's rumored to be building up a force to attack the colony with, similar to the Kuva fortress Assault node. A Colony Rescue could be themed more like a Defection mission, where we have to escort groups of captive colonists to an escape craft.

I would love to see much more creative objectives than all that, mind you, but the idea is that I wouldn't want these to be major timesinks for DE. These could just use existing tilesets on the planet to reduce the amount of work needed for DE to implement this. But, naturally, we'd all love to see unique tilesets for these missions to create an alternative flavor.

The core concept is pretty simple. A mission hub that provides us with "normal" warframe missions, offering rewards that allow us to "bypass" the open world area entirely, if we so choose. Except, of course... if we want to actually go fishing, mining, or conservation hunting. Or if we want to Eidolon/Orb fights (those naturally would remain in the open world). Or for those of us who actually enjoy Skywing, for pure aesthetics.
