Railjack Enemies disappearing

Solo mission on Saturn.  More than once when firing a Seeker Volley at enemies from far off I'd watch their target boxes vanish.  I realized after I went out after them in archwing that they hadn't disappeared, they'd gone out of range by running from the missiles.  Because the enemy had such a massive headstart on the missiles, they couldn't catch them, but as the enemy was still being pursued they continued to run until they were well outside of my range and even outside the play area.  Disappearing enemies and non-spawning crewships are about to waste over an hour of my time.
