(Warframe concept) Cali, Mystic Mist frame

I present Cali: A warrior who uses the power of a mystical Mist to empower and rejuvenate her.

Lore: *Deep under the surface of a ancient Orokin city lied a warrior who guarded a temple. Watching high ranking Orokin come to this temple for pleasure, Cali stood guard, watching the poor and starving dig at the door. She stood guard when the sentients attacked and slaughtered the weak who tried to enter to escape. Against her morals, she cut down those the Orokin considered unworthy. When the war came to its end and the Tenno betrayal was at hand, two high ranking Orokin were enjoying themselves, guarded by Dax soldiers. When the Tenno struck, Cali got her chance to make the Orokin suffer. She killed the Dax and sentenced the Orokin to feel the terrible power of her mist. While they diminished, she gained life. Never to enter the sleep as to repay her sins, Cali guarded the weak as she helped them move to a new era.*


Cali features mobility and great survival as her Mist is her tool. A slender frame adorned with silk, she uses her signature machete which wields a passive of increased critical dmg for a short time on multi kills and a tight spread, low fire auto shotgun that has guaranteed impact procs.

Abilities- passive: Deep Mist: Cali draws strength from the mist, repairing herself depending on how high her connection is, ability use and kills deepen the connection granting a maximum of 1.5% of health regeneration. Abilities grant 10% percent while kills grant 1%. Passively generates 1% per second.


1. Deep Breath: channeled, Cali breaths in the mist, draining her meter by 5% (upped from 1%) each second, scaling by efficiency. While breathing the mist, Cali gains a small boost to movement and a greater boost to armor, increases movement by 20% and armor by 70%. Enemies killed during the ability grant 5 health to allies in affinity range and a small dmg boost to Cali up to 15% maximum, scaled off strength. Hold to deactivate  and suddenly exhale, stunning enemies and slowing their attacks in a area of 6/9/12 meters while depleting the meter by 15% Tap to deactivate normally.

Augment: Rebreather
Gali grants allies half of her bonus when she is within 50 meters 

Ability 2: Choke:
Cali charges enemies with Mist in a area of 5/10/15 meters, spread from the enemy casted on and chokes the affected enemies. Enemies take increased dmg from status effects and have a higher chance to be placed under a status effect. Enemies killed give 2 energy and if killed by her scythe, enemies give 1% of health as well. Enemies receive higher dmg from melee attacks. Adds Mist to the meter.
Augment: Choke point: Cali’s target now generates Mist continuously in a smaller area. Kills in the area increase status chance by 10% for 12 seconds. 

Ability 3: Mist Burst: Cali expels Mist for 10/20/30 seconds, granting status immunity and heath regeneration for a short time. Kills extend the duration by 2 seconds and grant a dmg reduction that decreases over time after the ability ends. Cali is also swifter on the ground and movement charges the meter by .2% per meter.  Adds Mist to the meter.
Augment: Reflective Mist, Cali reflects damage dealt by status when she casts Mist Burst, dealing it to enemies instead. Status duration is increased by 50%.

Ability 4: Mystic Scythe: Cali draws from the Mist to summon her scythe. Draining 5 energy per second and 1% from the Mist Meter. The scythe features:

Augment: Swift Mist, Cali gains speed for every kill with her Scythe, up to 40% 

1.10 attack speed

170 slash

15 impact 

15 puncture

35% Critical Chance 

2.5 Critical Damage. 

4 meter range 

18% status. 

The combos are quick and agile, able to allow Cali to move over the battle while swinging her scythe. The scythe is also as long as a great sword or y’know, a actual scythe. 

Each kill grants Cali 2 hp. When used with her 2 she deals heavier critical dmg to the enemies and the dmg bonus from melee is increased by 35%. 


Cali’s stats:

150 health ( 400 max)

0 shields 

175 armor (250 max)

1.10 sprint speed

100 energy (150 max) 


Cali’s special weapons:

Rosa: 
Machete

1.05 attack speed

44 puncture

90 slash

6 impact 

Range: 2.5 (3 if Cali is using it)

Dmg falloff: 20-25m

Fire rate: 2 rounds per second(3 ifCali uses it)

Cali accessories: (no concept art because I can’t draw)

Cali Litas helmet: Adorn a crown of silk and gold, fit for the Queen of the Mist. 

Luxos Armor set: A contrast to a dark secret of the Orokin. Found in the remains of a temple, its believed Cali cast it aside the day she slew her masters. It’s silk ribbons still flow beautifully.

Cariss Syandana: A beautiful purple cloak, Cali wore it with pride in her change of duty. She wore it for many years after the Orokin fell. Her remains were wrapped in this Syandana.

Cali colors: royal purple and black.

This weirds me out so much, im cool with what it does but am weirded out by the mist. Is it apart of her finger to a hand?

Okay 🤔 give status effects a flat buff increase id say, just to keep people from feeling like they have to bring a high status effect weapon to see use of it.

This thing drains fast, id say give it twice the amount of damage and status chance. Other than that it's lovely

8/10 for me, 9/10 if it looks good (excuse my lack of creativity, i just cant see it looking good with the inhale of exhale of the mist)

What i like most about the warframe is the fog like effect im imagining it to have. Something thats a little new.

1 suggestion

I think it would be cool if her 3rd ability reduced enemies detection abilities too. With a lot of range, that might help this warframe bring even more unique gameplay to players who like stealth or who just want to not get hit as much.
