keyboard and mouse, partial loss of functionality for brief durations

this problem started lately.

some motion and all attack keys and buttons stop working for a while. sometimes they do so for a long durations over 10 seconds.

there might be something related to recent windows 10 march updates.

during this time, WASD and mouse directions continue working. ESC and TAB are some other ones.

but mouse clicks, ctrl & space, and keys for fighting stop working all together.

I dont have anything new installed other than updates to system.
