"Marking" areas on the map? [QoL]

Is there any way we could get the ability to mark certain areas on the map, by changing their colour or whatever. Kind of like, "Ok, this area is 'clear'.. I'll mark it as such" and you'd click it or something and it would change color on the minimap to indicate that it's "clear" or whatever. For times when you're looking for things.

Just an idea.

I feel like Loot Radar + Ignis is going to be a lot less effort than this suggestion. If you can do it without opening the map I would be interested to try it. But it really depends on how it is implemented. It could be somewhat useful, or totally pointless depending on how easy it is to use.
