The Major Problem with Warframe's Levels

Warframe has some great level and open world designs that make you want to explore. The issue is, its a static world. Nothing happens to the environment. There are no big events that change the environment, its always the exact same every time you go to it and becomes kind of boring after a while.

What they should do is add some events to the environment, especially the open worlds, that make the environment a little more alive and actually part of the game instead of just what the game runs on.

Maybe take some of the buildings and have them be destroyed after a mission, an explosion that creates a massive crater in a mountain, something comes out of the ground, something that adjusts the landscape where you watch it happen and go, "Damn, that was cool."

I can see the issue with this though, its a game where you replay missions many times, and that some people might not have gotten that far so what tileset loads for them? Things I think can be solved with some programming that sets up squads that have all completed the same mission, etc.

Changing the world on a per-player basis relating to whatever that player has done would be extremely difficult to do in a game where everyone is either hosting or a client in the game world.

Which is probably why they do server-wide events instead... such as the Plague Star, Ghoul Purge, and Thermia Fractures, which affect everyone.
