Excavation marker ring

I am in the Everest mission on Earth and the tan objective ring for the C excavator is on the other side of the room from the yellow objective marker, walking through the tan ring does not trigger deployment of the excavator, 

It turns out that the tan ring was for the D excavator, so the game must have been using the ring for the C excavator to get a step ahead and accidentally showed it at the next location.
