If you only care about front up DPS, Despair is better for you, but with Acrid, you put a couple of shots into one enemy, and then shoot another, and by the time you are moving onto another enemy, those 2 are dead because of the poison, that's how it's supposed to be used. It's better than the Despair, if you are patient, but in your case, if you are not, Despair is better (Although I think the it's Acrid>Brakk>Despair). Acrid DOT's should hit same body part as initiate impact does and there is no logical explanation why it shouldn't. I'm going to go captain hindsight on you. *ahem* If you didn't want this to be about what weapon is better, you shouldn't have said one weapon outdid the other or continued to argue with it people for so long.
