For something that will play the game well you'd be better off with the PS4.

Spending less than $1000 on a PC isn't a great idea, My laptop cost me $1300

wrong, a 500 desktop built properly can run warframe at 1080p with capped graphics. (i should know, my son uses exactly that, so does my wife.)

Sounds like you've been getting screwed hard. It shouldn't take you 1k+ just got get a decent gaming rig going. And honestly, I'd never recommend a console. Why? Because they're stagnant. I had more typed, but it came off as a pc master race rant, so I got rid of it.

because they violate first-sale doctrine.

because they're almost completely controlled (at this point) by the company that made them.

because they don't allow the customer to have any flexibility.

because they're centered around the concept of planned obsolescence.

because some of them require an extortion fee to even play online (i'm looking at you microsoft)

i could go on, but nah. it doesn't get any better from here on out.

laptops are more expensive than a desktop. Because.... miniaturization and thermal limitations. And style.

Depending on what hardware you have in that laptop, you may have overpaid a piece of trash or not. If it doesn't have decent dedicated graphics uhhhhh... it's a piece of trash. Even if it is an Ultrabook.

Not sure if you disagree with me or if you're just using me to rant.

amd in this instance = ATI

but i get what you're saying.

i'd go with nvidia for compatibility, but that's me.

some people vastly prefer ATI.

as all my gaming rigs eventually become linux boxes and nvidia works infinitely better with linux.

but again, this is very much a personal preference thing.

that said. almost everything works with nvidia. some things don't work well with ATI. <-- becoming less and less a problem these days though.

I'm leaning towards Nvidia for the phsysx

for my money, i don't bother with ATI.

their drivers suck, they've been busted numerous times fudging benchmark results.

generally, they (on paper) have faster cores.

but in the real world, (where drivers mean something) they're almost always outperformed by NVIDIA.

yay!

The only dangerous mistake is not placing thermal compound between the processor and the heat sink. For all other possible mistakes you are just wasting some more time to figure it out and fix it.

The heatsink fan had thermal paste already, which was good.

Old system vs new

Idk how the check my graphic's card specs...but it's good.

Speccy to identify all hardware http://www.piriform.com/speccy (be sure to download the portable version so you don't litter the PC)

This site provides a chart where all cards are placed in their relative power level so you can know where you are in the food chain http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-graphics-card-review,3107-7.html

This site for processor power benchmarks. http://www.cpubenchmark.net/

This is its page for your old processor http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=AMD+Athlon+II+P320+Dual-Core

This is the page for your new processor http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=AMD+Athlon+X4+750K+Quad+Core

You quadrupled its processing power.

I posted these links already, in a post in page two I think.
