Riven challenge not appearing

I have a veiled melee riven with the challenge to land 8 consecutive headshots in AW on PoE without getting a mag proc- with a Scourge and a high fire rate secondary, this is a fairly simple challenge. However, when entering the plains with the riven equipped, the banner for the riven challenge never shows up, no banner shows updating progress, and on completing the condition for unveiling and extracting, the riven is not unveiled. I've tried this on several frames, with the riven equipped on several weapons, no joy.
