Nitresco
Sentinel takes sentinel slots. Sentinel rifles have infinite ammo. Literally the only constructive reply I've given today. Time to stop caring again.
UmamiSalami
By Warframe slots, do you mean the inventory slots on how many Warframes you can own? If thats what you meant then no, they have their own separate slots. I believe sentinel rifles have infinite ammo but have a clip on which emptied, has to be reloaded. I could be wrong on the rifle though.

Wingblaze21
More than you asked but they also have 0% critical chance and no real reload speed, so those mods have no effect. http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Sentinels "All sentinel weapons have unlimited ammo, 0% crit chance and never "reload". There is currently no benefit whatsoever to giving them any mods related to crit chance, crit damage or magazine capacity. Mods that affect the rate of fire, base damage, multishot or add elemental damage all work like on normal weapons of the same type. Reload speed effects the cooldown, or pause, between shots fired by Shade's burst laser pistol or Wyrm's laser rifle."

Wingblaze21
Interesting. I took a look at the wiki pages for the sentinel weapons and some cannot crit while others can. It's possible one or more of the wiki pages is wrong. The in game readouts of the weapons might show the current data. I can say that while some of the weapons *can* crit (if the wiki is right) none of them have a very high chance of critting, and I would advise against modding for crit. Then again with damage 2.0 I'm not sure what to suggest right now.
