Problems Before Even Merging Accounts

I checked the website today to see if I could do the cross save merger and found out the hard way that apparently being the founding member of a dead clan with only like 3-4 people in it means you can't merge that account to your main one. You might say "That's fine, just log on to your old account and promote one of them or delete the clan or something" however I don't have an Xbox anymore, thus I can't do anything but change the name and emblem for the clan. What I ALSO didn't know is that attempting to merge accounts WITHOUT knowing about the whole founding clan member thing removes you from cross save eligibility. So PSA, don't even attempt to merge accounts at all unless you're ABSOLUTELY SURE that you meet all the criteria lest you get pushed out of eligibility all together.
