Cross Trade on Nintendo Switch is so Problematic

After activating the cross save on my account a bunch of chats appeared on my trade chat and it is so annoying I can't trade almost all of them using my platinum on Nintendo Switch. Most of the players won't accept platinum on trade. We can't even trade on other switch players without them activating cross platform. If you will isolate switch platinum on other platforms please just remove the cross trade only when we are using switch and re-enable trading on other switch player even they are not cross save enabled. Please look into it. It's kinda hard for us.

From what i have figured out, your Switch account became a Pc account when you activated Cross trade/Save. Nintendo has agreement with De that complicate thing with plat.

 Issue: IF they let you return to switch trade only there need to be 15-30 days between leaps to stop profiteers from playing the markets.  Rifle riven mode is 25p on pc and 15-20p on switch.   on the flip side, ember prime is 120 p from Pc to about 200p on switch.  see the new issue that is made?

Option: They need one hard trade mash that add switch users with there plat as second type, aka GoldStars (Keep it Nintendo) then you have options.  Trade switch or trade reg, but only spendable in respective markets.

Why not use the "reduced" (read: modified) switch plat prices as the global market pricing? Since Nintendo wanted their packages to be a certain price, why not make that the standard instead of alienating an entire section of the economy from being able to trade?

 

I mean, at this point, there either needs to be a separate trade chat for Nintendo plat, or it needs to be integrated into the whole. No half measures.

The Deal between De and Nintendo Make it so platinum works different on switch, (Switch Platinum bought at 100% value no deals.  Deals are in game from market from De)  The Plat is already sorted out so it stays on it Native platform between swtich and Pc/Xbox/Ps... 

Push the two Plat system where Switch has it own (goldstars)  the player base will make the Switch plat useless and a lesser. everyone would trade with original plat.  which would add a player trade rate from regular to switch plat...   problem would solve itself over time. (Think of it like Us dollar Vs Canada dollar)

adding a second trade window would be pointless everyone just use the one with the most people in it. Besides they already have have filters they can add a Plat or Switch P to separate it that way.

@Bnightwolf, now that I understand that the deal isn't reduced pricing but fixed prices, let me clarify. Also thanks for letting me know, I appreciate learning when I'm incorrect. 

 

I guess the problem I'm trying to address is how switch players are locked out of trading for or with plat unless their looking for other switch players. For example if I had a full set of gauss prime for sale I could only expect to get platinum from other switch players. From everyone else I would have to first buy a PC, then log into it to trade for platinum that I could only use while logged into that same PC.

 

Do you now see the kind of problem that having a split market creates? If other platforms are capable of buying discounted platinum but switch isn't, I'll accept that as a loss, or buy it through the Web browser. But to isolate a segment of the market like this makes no sense.

If you have a hard time finding switch traders in the chaotic trade chat, i recommend adding a chat filter in that channel. Use keywords such as Nintendo & Switch, to cut out a lot of those traders whose plat you won’t be eligible for. 
 

Other good keywords would be WTT (want to trade, it may be trading items for other items), trade, trading, etc.

It’s helped me get some trades so far.

Are chat filters a thing on PC? Because they aren't on switch. Or are you talking about including "switch" in the trade line the same way people use wtt or wtb?

Yes Switch has a filter,  the magnifying glass in top right of chat window, or simply X button.  Y button to add filters and click on words to remove. (Hint: price check on pc values now your no longer part of the switch part of warframe market)  wwt trade are very rare. 

Almost better to change to pc for trading until warframe fixes things. but that my opinion take it with a grain of salt.

Love to learn a new feature, but sadly switching to PC is going to cost more than just buying plat and getting most everything I need from the market directly. The one I have is from early 00's and runs 98 so no Warframe there.

I'm just irritated that the market is divided like this.

You can always use the Trading post section of Forums as well.   When posting say Cross trade on switch.  might help you out.

They did great on cross save but error  the trading part.  they need to let all users trade both types of plat.

I know I sound like a shill at this point since I've mentioned it so many times in posts, but you can use Geforce Now (free or the lowest price plan if you don't want to deal with queue times) to play the PC version for trading (I've held onto a founder membership and use it as a backup for Destiny and Warframe, I love it). Or, wait for the mobile version of Warframe to release if you have a compatible phone/tablet cause I imagine that will be part of the cross save world too.

I agree that the divided market sucks. It sucks for non cross-save players too because it's siphoning off those players from and already tiny market. I still wonder if DE eventually plans to convert all accounts to a single database so those players can trade on same platform again, and that this first few months of cross save is partly about testing out the migration and staggering the move - priming the pipes as it were.
