Question

Now that Shields are Resistant to Blast:

how do you build up against the Corrupted Orokins?

1) Corrosive/Blast - or - Magnetic/Gas

2) with wich weapon

3) do you still manage to damage with Slash based weapons such as Soma against Robotics with Magentic on?

I use a +150% raw heat damage Gorgon, works wonders.
Currently trying to figure out what else might be viable as it runs out of ammo like crazy.
Current mods on it:
Serration (120%), Wildfire (MAX), Hellfire (MAX), Shred (also MAX), Rifle Ammo Mut (yep, MAX), and Fast Hands (MAXIMUSSS)

(Note that I haven't tried a Tower III yet, I'm pretty sure I'd be shot once and die. This setup works well for I and II though.)

Most often you'll be facing Shields and Armor.  Corrupted Lancers and Heavy Gunners are your armor enemies.  Corrupted Crewmen and those damn Shield Drones that are EVERYWHERE are your shield enemies.  Corrupted Ancients are just gobs of Health.

So, i'd go with a high Impact weapon (for shields) modded with Corrosive (for armor) and some Heat (for health).

You could also go with a high Puncture weapon modded for Magnetic (for shields((and those damn Fusion Moa's)) and some Heath damage also.

Try using Gas Damage. Gas Damage is effective against all types, but a little less effective than a specialised type, such as corrosive; but corrosive I find works really well.

Corrosive Synapse gets the job done for me ;)

for soloing t2 survs i use a 5star ignis with corrosive/blast. it kills everything until u get to 30mins where suddenly enemies mysteriously gain lots of armor of sorts and alot of health at lv+40 then i would have to switch to using a brakk. it kills fast enough that i dont need to stop walking to kill everything in the room. its as if there wasnt anything there to begin with.
