How Does Elemental Damage Stack Now With Combined Elemental Damage?

If you use Cold and Heat, which gives +50% Shields/-50% Armor and +75% Flesh/+50% Infested (respectively), do those bonuses go away because they combine into Blast, which is -25% Shield/+25%Armor/+25% Flesh/+25% Infested or do they stack (additively or multiplicatively?)?

I can't say for certain, but I am pretty sure the fusion replaces. In other words, cold and heat are gone, and you have only the blast damage.

Well, this is what I'm trying to figure out. I wish I could grab a dev for two minutes to ask because no one seems to solidly know.

As Halo said, it does go away. In other words, it becomes an entirely new elemental with its own advantages and disadvantages, as well as their unique procs.

I've confirmed such a thing for myself during The Hunt for Alad V little event by testing on the infested with Heat and Blast. It dealt about the same damage to them because Heat deals high multipliers, while my Blast base damage was already high, so it kinda balanced itself against Infested.
