I have two questions for lotus eaters

What was the in lore reasoning for the drifter being choosen to answer the call? As I feel "paradox" doesn't really explain much?

And why was Lotus willing to give the operator up to the indifference? That feels like a high waving red flag to me btw 👀

I don't think it's a lore reason. I think the voice actor(s) for the Operator are no longer available to do this.  I really think this is the reason for the sudden shift toward the Driver as the center of all the quests lately.

I really wish they'd just hold auditions for people that sound more-or-less like the original voice actor(s).  It's not perfect, but it's good enough. The Operator is a much more hopeful character than the Drifter, and I for one, prefer that outlook.

Hold on I may be wrong (I'll check later) but don't the operator and drifter share voice actors?

Drifter probably was choosen because gameplay reasons and dialogue, Drifter can use weapons like a Warframe and because the romance options they are adding, that way, they only need to work on the Drifter and not split the work in both the Operator and Drifter. Lore reasons can be pretty much anything.
