What is the best way to build Phenmor? Can someone please help :)

I picked up the Phenmor two days ago and unlocked all its incarnon evolution perks yesterday. I've seen a lot of videos and read a lot of forum posts and there's always a mixed response between Corrosive+heat and Viral+Slash+Heat. How people suggested to build either builds also differs, with some people offering more status chance as opposed to raw damage and vice versa. I have the mods to build either or in any way but wanna know what is the most optimal way to build Phenmor. I'm looking to use it in very high level steel path in long endurance survival runs on conjunction survival, while cracking relics ;). What is the best elemental combo to go for and how should you build it? More status or pure damage?
