I Noticed Something In The Melee Rework Prototype

i know it´s just a prototype, but this is serious.

 

while the excalibur slashes the grineer, they keep shooting as if nothing happened.

 

i think that no matter the proc chances, each melee attack should always stagger the enemy. if not, it seems like the melee attacks have no force behind them, which will make melee not feel very good.

 

edit: excalibur goes with an X you dummy!

They did say that they were still using the old system with that new implementation. The point of that prototype was for us to get an idea of how it will be like.

That's kinda what I understood when they said so, so yeah, let's hope they stick with that.

I think the only long sword that used to always stagger enemies was the Pangolin Sword. I wish all melee had the same staggering effect.

still even with a non-stagger melee weapon, I would think Slash-Dash would create a bit of stagger from a crazed Space-Ninja flying at an enemy, sword in hand

Hopefully, We will get more acrobatic type moves with melee rework, and much more responsive enemy AI to go along with these movement changes.

hopefully blocking will actually become useful, and that I'll be able to start and stop blocking whenever I want unless casting an ability.
