FierceRadiance
This is going to be confusing; I apologize. On many "ship" worlds, there is often a section where you enter onto a raised open 3 x 3 grid of walkways (you don't run up onto them, but there's space beneath them). You run to the middle walkway, turn to one side (usually left), run a step or two and jump up into the middle one of three small rooms. This room has some kind of big box on the floor in the center of the room, which you have to run past. There's an open panel in the back of this little room, and you run through it. You then run down one of two hallways that meet again at an opening in the floor. (You then jump down through the opening, and the level proceeds). If you aren't already thoroughly confused... Once you run through the open panel, if you choose the left hallway to the hole in the floor, there is often a green cannister towards the back, near the floor-hole. (Sometimes it's an explosive barrel.) This cannister or explosive barrel almost always appears partially embedded in the floor. It's easy to tell with the cannister, because the cannisters are (I think) four rings high, and this cannister always appears to be one ring too short. I think this spawn-point is incorrectly vertically positioned.
JHarlequin
It takes a while to figure out the spot you are describing. It's a pretty complex room. The main room has 2 doorways and 2 levels. By one of the doorways are ramps that go down mirrored of each other and they turn back 180 degrees to reach the lower section. The upper level has 3 alcoves on both sides of the room raised above the floor. The middle alcove on one side has an opened hatch in the back leading to some maintenance ducts that lead to another section of the room. The secondary section of the room has the small room that the maintenance tunnels link to and three other doors. 2 large and one small. And yeah often times the crate or explosive barrel on one side in the maintenance ducts can be sitting fine on the floor, but is quite often embedded at least a little bit all the way to only the top quarter sticking out of the floor. FierceRadiance
You are absolutely correct about my post being confusing! I just didn't know any other way of describing it. And I had forgotten about the lower level, beneath the walkways. My bad.
