Bow Tradeoff

Would bows be favored more if stamina is consumed/being consumed while holding, but increase the projectile speed greatly?

 

Stamina consumption shouldn't be as quick as sprinting or blocking.

 

Great idea or "boo, put this in the trash"?

Boo put this in the trash. I'd say part of the appeal of bows is that you have to lead targets at long ranges -- increasing projectile speed would diminish that.

 

Not to mention that the biggest issue with bows isn't the speed, but the damage.

It's the speed AND damage, among other things. They don't need to be Lanka speed, but a small boost to projectile travel time wouldn't take the fun out of leading targets with the arrows either.

 

And put it in da trash. Sniping requires you to move around a lot as it is, and this would kill anyone trying to use a bow in Survival.

Bad idea, bow are already hard to use (I love bow and sniper weapons BTW), ANY changes to them would be bad. Just like the jerks, yes that's what I call them, who want to get rid of the hit scan system. So now if I head shot you I do more damage that a foot shot. No hit scan... I shot your left little toe off and you die. Trash, burn, burry this idead in a blackhole and hide it in another blackhole.

Understandable. I just thought that bows are kind of lackluster right now and I'm not sure what a good change for them would be.
