Aranea: Spider-Themed Warframe (Yes, This Again...)

The idea has been kicked around many times before on the forums, this is just my take on the concept. Far from perfect, but at least it may offer further ideas/inspiration:

 

 

 

Spiders have long fascinated (and often repulsed) humanity throughout the ages. They have a number of unique evolutionary abilities and traits that serve them well as predators and hunters. 

 

Additional Warframe features:

 * In line with her arachnid abilities, she has a bonus 10% Stamina reduction when wall-running (equal to a base Acrobat; additive to any other mod bonuses).

 * When reaching the top of a vertical wall-run, instead of sliding down slowly as other warframes do, she can sit perched at the peak until cancelled (or for a limited duration/slower drop, if necesarry for balance purposes).

 * Alternate personal Sayandana "Arthro" consisting of 4 three-joined armatures that protrude from her back.

 

STATS

Health: 150

Shields: 75

Energy: 100

Armor: 65

Speed: 1.1

 

 

Power 1: Neurotoxin

Energy: 25

Power Range: 50 meters (capped)

Power Duration: 2 / 4 / 6 / 8 seconds (capped)

 

Infects a target with a powerful neurotoxin which interferes with the nervous system, leaving the target unable to control their limbs for a short duration. Inflicts 5 / 10 / 15 / 20 Toxic damage per second, and the target is paralyzed for the duration.

 

 

Power 2: Anchor Line

Energy: 50

Power Range: 25 / 40 / 60 / 75 meters

Power Duration: 10 / 12 / 14 / 16 seconds

 

Creates a walkway directly in front of Aranea and where she was targeting at the time the ability was cast. The path will last for 10 / 12 / 14 / 16 seconds (path will fade during duration and flicker before disappearing). The walkway is thin, but adhesive:  Warframes can cross the path without falling even if placed at a steep angle. This path can be left via jump button. Duration/Range are affected by mods.

 

 

Power 3: Cobweb

Energy: 75

Power Range: 5 / 10 / 15 / 20 meters

Power Duration: 4 / 8 / 12 / 16 seconds

 

Aranea casts an energy web targetting 6 / 8 / 10 / 12 enemies (affected by Power Strength) initially stunning them for 3 seconds and then leaving their speed reduced by 50% the duration. Duration/Range are affected by mods.

 

 

Power 4: Swarm

Energy: 100

Power Range: 10 / 13 / 17 / 20 meters

Power Duration: 4 / 6 / 8 / 10 seconds

 

Aranae covers enemies in range with swarms of arachnids, biting for 300 / 500 / 650 / 800 Toxic damage, and paralyzing all enemies surviving the damage for the duration. Range is affected by mods, duration is not.

Nice ideas but maybe an ability that acts like a trap? Spiders are natural trap setters (there's a ton of examples to choose from) so it might suit your concept well :]

Cobweb. I was torn whether to make it a Player-Based Area of Effect, or to have it placed in an area like Bastille. I opted for the former, since I didn't want it to be a copy/paste of the latter.
