Tactics

 

Deviating away from standard shooting and testing player's patience and tactical prowess - I present to you a new Game Mode. Tactics - a mode that practices one's tactical abilities, stealth and accuracy.

 

The map will plainly be a linear map with one Road and multiple vantage points (high cliffs, towers, bridges, etc). Given a time allowance of X seconds for each player(s) to find a vantage point to settle in. Once the counter reaches 0, the waiting game starts. There will be 2 or 3 entrances where the target will be coming from so planning ahead will be important. The target may range from a live person (high-ranking official, an important item, maybe a cyropod, or a rare weapon) accompanied by multiple Corpus or Grineer bodyguards which will sometime move ahead of the group or roam around the area.

 

Upon first shot (even the mere sound), seeing a player or the death of one of the bodyguard will alert the small troupe, causing ALL of them to retreat back to the entrance. The aim of the mode is to dispatch the bodyguards as quickly as possible WITHOUT killing the target, if the target is a live person it will attempt to run back to the 2-3 entrances. 

 

How to trap a target if its a live person? Simply be in it's field of vision or in front of him. The target WILL attempt to go into another direction without a player so having multiple players trapping him in a large area is ideal or if playing solo, trapping him in a choke point or a narrow pathway will certainly finish the game mode.

so Ambush mixed with capture? I'd vote to get rid of the "stand in front of him" part. for one it's difficult to teleport across the map from your vantage point... as well when it's solo you can't be at both ends of a narrow pathway... just do a typical "shoot him down, pick him up" capture
