and to counter its super powerful OHK, it would need a 3 sec charge up which your move speed would be reduced by 90% and you would gain aggro from all monster and you would take 300% additional dmg.

Soma does the same thing without those things or Brakk destroys everything up on face. 

 

Infact almost every new weapon murders everything instantly, may take a clip on high levels but it doesnt have to have those negative effects.

 

There are really $&*&*#(%&ly powerfull weapons in game anyway. See Galatine.

Not really a Sniper , I was thinking more like a really heavy weapon that could just shred though enemies

There is an easy two step solution to give people a cannon and not have it OP.

 

1) It needs to use sniper ammo and have a 72 rounds maximum.

2) it needs to consume 6 rounds per shot. 

 

The only thing that DE really has to do to balance it is with ammo. Having a weapon that only had 12-13 shots with a full ammo supply would let DE give people a high-powered weapon that couldn't be spammed. They could just copy the railgun from metal gear 4 and it would have a place, so long as they were careful with ammo.

Why not just buff the Lanka? I've potato'd and forma'd mine, and it still pales in comparison to a hitscan rifle. Shoot, even the Latron does more damage. If they just removed the projectile time on the Lanka, It'd be the exact definition of a railgun

They should make it where you take 5% HP dmg per sec in radiation dmg during the charge up cause its so powerful. they need more negative effects on powerful weapons. It would be great it if the Penta travels ONLY like a boomerang, no matter what angle it bounce right back in your face. Or the soma have dangerous ricochet which can kill you if you stop moving while firing. or molecular prime effects the caster also, slows the nova down and makes her take double dmg. Iron skin show reduce movement speed after casting. fun stuff. Blessing should have a 30% chance of effecting enemies also as a "misfire" Brakk should overheat if you fire it consecutively and explodes in your face. the only gun you cant kill yourself with should be the Mk-1 Braton.
