GarrisonStewart
Trusted site offers/recommend program that's said to help find the problems in my computer and fix them "Oh boy! Maybe I can finally rid my computer of all its problems!" -Gets it- -Takes some time to check for problems- -Big button to fix everything- "Oh, you wanted to actually CLEAN your computer? Oh, you have to register/pay to do that" FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF-

GarrisonStewart
Try mse I looked at that. It sounds like it only protects my PC, not fix what's already there.
MagPrime
Grab Malware bytes and CCleaner. I just put those on my machine, they're free and effective. You do have to run them, they aren't an active protection though. You could try running all the free trials so you don't have to pay.
GarrisonStewart
I've tried getting Malware bytes before, it didn't seem to work for me for some reason. I'm getting CCleaner right now though. I did try to get a free trial, but last time I was offered that it asked me for all this financial info, implying that as soon at the trial ran out it would immediately start charging. Decarien
Best way: Put everything important (documents, games, steam) on a 2nd partition. Reinstall windows, get everything set up, create a back up, then just reimage the entire C drive every couple months. Every now and then update the image with the new windows updates. Requires some brains to manage, but it solves everything.
