Void Room Ceiling Texture A Grid?

Found a small alcove in a sideroom in the void, while playing T3 Survival. The ceiling in the alcove with the crystal-ie tree at the end of the small room has a grid texture instead of a nice white ceiling. It looks like a test pattern, and not the proper texture.

It looks like a floor to me.

 Yes, that's a blank texture. I believe that means that whatever has that texture should not be seen by the player. I can't believe I have been into that room a lot and never noticed it. Nice find.

That's pretty much EXACTLY the texture, only it's smaller, and on the ceiling of that alcove. It's DE's basic default texture. Obviously that alcove isn't supposed to have that ceiling texture then.
