notlamprey
It really is a shame, especially for people who chipped in on Kickstarter. If Facebook wants to spend money developing the technology and creating a market, I'm happy to let them do that - I'll just make sure to buy the competitor's product. AhziDahaka
There are definitely a lot of potential social applications for VR tech, but I can't really say Facebook will ever do any of them very well. Remember when Facebook was just an experiment in mapping the global "social network" and was a service primarily for college students? Oh how money warps everything these days.
