Did you know that the concept of Dark Sector dates as far back as 2000?

Well, I stumbled upon an interesting press release dating to February 21, 2000 announcing Dark Sector. As we know, the original concepts for Dark Sector became Warframe. It's interesting to note how old and ambitious the concept was before it eventually became what we know today and to see some of the old concept art.

I also saw a brief news update from Steve Sinclair from March 30, 2000 that said they did have a space station implemented with player ships flying around.

Some interviews with the team where we learn the game was going to have a monthly subscription fee, space combat was a big plan, and community mods would be supported:

If anyone else has found some interesting history on Dark Sector or Warframe please post away!
