New Warframe Doesn't Feel Tenno Anymore.

cannon firing water from space is a utterly ridiculous concept. and every one of those powers you mentioned has been given a psudo rational explanation, water cannons from space never will.

The whole game requires you to suspend disbelief to quite ridiculous levels.

A space pirate ninja with water based abilities isn't any more stupid than frost conjuring up avalanches and ice waves (which would require the same volume of water to produce as hydroids barrage )

How does zephyr generate the kind of windspeed required to direct high velocity rifle bullets?

How does Nova destabilise the molecular structure of enemies without a power station the size of Wisconsin?

What exactly is Trinity doing to make her entire team invincible?

If you want to bring how Hydroids ability to bombard enemies with water in line with the rest of warframe-

He gets the water from the same place as Frost and manipulates it using the same technology.

Problem solved.

I personally don't have a problem with his 1 in terms of realism. It only *looks* like a ship is firing on that one spot. It adds to the theme. He could easily just be drawing water from the air in that spot and making it rapidly disperse, creating the "cannon fire" effect.

Well I said it minutes after that reveal on livestream.

Design looks bad. It's overdone. It's rediculous. It looks like that thing, when artists take children's doodles and try too draw them realisticly.

And powers do not make any sense. His ship shoots water from the orbit? It is capable to shoot inside the structures? He can instantaneously turn into liquid? With this joke of a Warframe DE went full magic on us.

Over-the-top doesn't mean good. Put some effort in it, DE!

You're free to say your opinion as you please, but that doesn't mean we'd all agree to it. To me, Hydroid's a good looking frame as far as presenting a theme and sticking to it, and actually having powers that not only comply with said theme, but are also practical in terms of gameplay through power synergy. Also, he has the relative simplicity of design that units like Excalibur and Frost have: looking suitably organic, without crossing over into actually looking organic like Nekros or Oberon do, or being overly busy in detail like Zephyr. Design-wise, he's more in line with the old Warframes.

Also, over-the-top has been Warframe's SOP since Rhino could stomp time into stopping as per the power description... which was way before Open Beta. Hydroid doesn't change that, it just reinforces the concept that Tenno are warriors with mysterious, inexplicable powers. Even the Codex supports the interpretation with entries like the Arid Fear Victory:
